Adena buried her face into her father's chest and forced herself to calm down.
Sky bit her lip. She couldn't bear hearing her sister in so much pain...
"I'm sorry," Adena whispered to Adofo.

[Adofo]

Adofo: It's okay baby! Let it all out.....daddy's here to protect you...

[Iri]

Adena curled up under his arms with her paws over her head as if trying to block out anything else.
The next morning, Sky went over to Adofo while Adena was sleeping in.
"Father?" Sky whispered. "Did.... did she have another nightmare last night?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: ....yeah....probably the worst one she had. I couldn't loosen my grip on her without her freaking out he'd come get her.

[Iri]

"I just... I heard her crying. I've heard her scream before... but I've never heard her cry like that," Sky said softly. "Those nightmares truly haunt her, don't they?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yes.....now you know why I feel bad about....everything....it really WAS my fault......i had REALLY high suspicions he'd do something.....but i ignored it.....and now.....she's almost too scared to blink her eyes! ........my poor baby....

[Iri]

Sky looked regretful. "I know. Before she fell asleep... and woke up crying, she was huddled really tightly, and she looked like she expected someone to come and... hurt her again."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah.....and Sky.....I need to tell you something.....he's not dead.

[Iri]

[Whoa, wait, what?]

Sky looked from side to side. "What?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: .......he's still alive......i tried to kill him! Really i did! .......but i couldn't do it.....i don't know why! I just froze! He picked up a rock and threw it at my head. When i woke up he was gone......and he took something from me....look at my necklace.
He held up his necklace that had Sarabi and Shannon's teeth hanging from it. But they weren't teeth, they were carved rocks.
