Adofo: YOu can't change the past. But what matters is the future. Gonai....I want to remind you....the offer is still up for adoption. I know you're already grown up.......but parents, even when you're grown up can still influence you to become better.

"It was Yajing that helped the most," Gonai said, looking affectionately back at Yajing, who was napping in the cave.

Adofo: YOu know......it would mean the world to her if she could call you.....big sister.

Gonai looked at her again and turned her head back to Adofo. "I don't know. Where's Ua?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

Adofo: She's swimming with her sister. Gonai......I know its hard going through change.......but you won't regret it! I can teach you so much! We can be so close! And you can be closer to Yajing. And....you'll always have tons of family to be right by your side when you need them.......what do you say?

Gonai bit her lip. "I don't know. Would Desta have been all right with this?" She looked to the sky, which was just starting to darken, and stars were just starting to twinkle.

[Adofo]

Adofo: This is your choice...not mine or anyone else's. Why don't you go talk with your sister and tell me when you're ready?

"If I'm ever ready," Gonai said.

Adofo: It's okay.
Adofo carefully kissed her cheek.
Adofo: It's late. Get some sleep. I'm going to go bring the girls in from the waterhole.
