Zitkala's paws had missing tufts of fur and they stung. She ran back home and went to Arida.
Gonai walked toward him out on the savanna. "What's wrong with Zitkala?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: She hid in a tree and got stuck in sap. I had to tear it open to get to her! I managed to pull her out. She really worried me for a bit. She was gone so long.

[Iri]

"Well, Yekize was fretting too," Gonai replied. She stretched and shook her head. "So, where are your sons?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: They're outside on the ledge. BOYS!

[Iri]

Zae and Jabari turned. "Hmm?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Come inside! Time for your nap!

[Iri]

Jelani and Zae sighed. "But, Dad!"

[Adofo]

Adofo: No buts, boys! Nap time!

[Iri]

Zae and Jabari pouted a little and walked into the cave to sleep. Yekize curled around them.
"Zitkala is in Arida's den, getting medicine on her paws," Gonai told Adofo.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Okay! Thanks! I'll go check on her!
He went down to look her over.
Adofo: Hey baby! YOu okay?
