Zitkala was stuck though. She had been stuck for half of the time he had been searching, but her voice wasn't loud enough to call for him.

[Adofo]

Adofo: ZITKALA! If you're around, try to roar!

[Iri]

Zitkala had never been able to produce much more than a squeaky roar. She tried but the tree walls were too thick for it to echo and make it loud enough. She opened her mouth and tried to roar again but all it did was create a long squeak.

[Adofo]

Adofo heard a little something as he listened.
Adofo: Zitkala!? Zitkala!!!!!!!!!

[Iri]

Zitkala's legs had been stuck to the trunk by some sap and her tail was caught in a knothole and a branch. She tried to "roar" again.

[Adofo]

Adofo heard it. faintly. He went around until he was next to the tree she was stuck in.
Adofo: Zitkala?

[Iri]

"I got stuck," Zitkala said, struggling against the slowly drying sap around her paws and trying to yank her tail free.

[Adofo]

Adofo: It''s okay baby! Daddy's here!
Adofo knocked on the tree for a weak spot and found one. He punched through it and peeled some more bark away. He tore a big hole in the tree and he had his daughter sitting right in front of him in sap.
Adofo: Okay, I'm gonna get you out. I'm gonna get your tail first. It's gonna hurt. Be tough for daddy! One. Two. THREE!
He ripped her tail from the sap, taking some of her tuft fur with it.

[Iri]

"What about my paws?" Zitkala asked.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Okay. I'm just going to yank you out. Okay? One....two....THREE!
She was finally free.
Adofo: I am so glad you're safe! I was worried someone might have taken you or something! NEVER scare daddy like that again!
