Yekize flinched away from him. "The hyenas," she said.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Honey! Look at me! LOOK AT ME! They can't hurt you anymore! You're fine! Everyone. Is. Fine.

[Iri]

Yekize flinched again. She sighed. "Just..." She paused. "Fine. You can hold them."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Are you sure baby?

[Iri]

Yekize laid back. "Y-yeah."

[Adofo]

Adofo carefully took all three and held them in his arms. But then he laid back with Yekize to let her get a good look at them.
Adofo: Hey! You know who I am!? I'm your daddy! This is your mommy! We're going to take good care of you!

[Iri]

[They're still newborns, they can't hear him.]

The three cubs squirmed and opened their tiny pink mouths. They let out little whimpers, squeaks, and wails.

[Adofo]

(Yeah. It's just what new dads do.)

Adofo: Awwww! Honey....you did a great job on them!

[Iri]

[Oh, okay. XD]

Yekize nodded. Zitkala squirmed and wailed again, her eyes tightly shut.
