"No, that wasn't him that tried to hurt you," Monifa argued. She turned away. "See? I'm just going to be hated all over again. You may as well just throw me out for the ravens."

Adofo: NO! I could never hate you! But.........I was thinking......if you could turn him good.....then.....maybe he could stay.

[Iri]

"I can't just make someone turn good. Besides, there's no such thing as 'turning someone good'," Monifa said. She walked away.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Monifa........look at Kovu. And......I want you to be happy......if.....if I get him back here, and he can behave......you think...maybe you can finally tell grandpa you love him?

[Iri]

"Kovu was never 'bad'!" Monifa objected.

[Adofo]

Adofo: He was just misguided.....but I think he can be the same. The bottom line is.....I want you to be happy.

"No. Paradzanai... well... he didn't love me." Monifa looked down at her paws. "At least... I don't think he did. Besides. It's not like Simba will accept him. Forget it. Focus on your happiness. Not mine. Mine isn't worth the time."

Monifa nodded. "I... I love you too." She nuzzled his leg and hurried to her den.
Just a few weeks later, Arida went up to Adofo with a sad look. "Hey. Er...." She looked awkward and embarrassed.
