But she's a lion with a collar! She's a lion. Why a collar?
She was captured and the humans that captured her wanted to put this on her to make her look "tough". She never managed to take it off... =P
So what you must do...
Give her a name.
Make a background story for her. Don't make it boring and sunshine were her life is perfect and blah blah blah.
Make a personality for her.
Give her family relations. If you can't think of any, just put "unknown".
