Yekize had tears running down her face. "I am too. I can't have my cub suffering like this... Arida told me... she - she won't live for long." She tried and failed to hold back a sob.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yekize......I know we may not have another litter.....but if we do.......i want the oldest girl to be name Kilio the second. In honor of her big sister. And when she's old enough, we'll tell her about her sister.....and she'll do enough living for them both.

[Iri]

[Sorry for the late reply! Oh mah gosh. I am so distracted lately. So if I reply late, I'm sorry.]

"If... if we do have another litter," Yekize agreed.

[Adofo]

(No. Sorry for MY late replies. I'm house sitting at my bro's. And they have two dogs so im pretty distracted.)

Adofo holds his mate in his arms.
Adofo: I feel so bad for her.

[Iri]

[It's okay.]

"She doesn't deserve to suffer like this," Yekize murmured.

[Adofo]

Adofo: We'll get her through this. We have to be strong with her. Okay?

[Iri]

A few months later, Kilio's wounds were healed but she was scarred. She and Ua tended to hang out together more because they had been savaged by the same lioness, and they both were born with defects that affected their lives.
Kilio sat next to Ua with a sigh. "I wish I hadn't been born like this," she said.
Ua nodded sympathetically and rested her tail-tip on Kilio's shoulder.

[Adofo]

Adofo overheard her. He went outside and sat on the ledge.
Simba: Hey. What's wrong?
Adofo: Kilio......she said she wish she wasn't born the way she is....I just......I feel so bad......it breaks my heart to think of how much she's suffering.

[Iri]

Chiku, his full-grown daughter, walked up to him and nudged him. "It isn't your fault." She leaned her head against his shoulder. "It... was because of the tranquilizers."

[Adofo]

Adofo: I know but......sometimes.......i had a feeling that i shouldn't have tried to have that litter. And.....I guess i was right. I know thats a horrible thing to say but.....at least she wouldn't suffer. I feel like I failed her. It's just how a parent feels when their child is in a bad state.
Simba: It'll.....it'll be okay.
