"No!" Jinsoku shrieked. "No!"
Sumato lay on the ground, coughing and bleeding.
"Sumato... no... I'm so sorry... this is my fault," Jinsoku whispered.
"It was not your fault in any way," Sumato said. "But.. could you stay with me? Until-"
"Don't say it!" Jinsoku moaned. "You'll be okay!"
"Don't lie to yourself," Sumato whispered.
Jinsoku stood next to Sumato.
"Remember when we first met, Jinsoku?" Sumato said.
"Yeah. I remember that..."
"I remember you were begging me to tell you what you could do in return after I spared you," Sumato said with a weak grin.
"Yeah."
"Well... I'm glad to say you have repaid me."
"How?"
"You were my friend."
