Adofo: Sky......can I be honest for a minute? There are times that.....I know you still do but.......it feels like you're trying to separate yourself from me.....like....you don't care for me. And I know it's partially because I still consider you my "baby girl" And....even though that will always be true.....you'll always be my baby no matter how old you get......since you obviously want me too........I'll quit treating you like a little child.

[Iri]

Sky sighed. "If you wouldn't mind."
The next morning, Sky walked into the den and talked with Adena.
"No," Adena growled. "I won't do it."
"Think of your rank," Sky said calmly. "And of our father. He is right. You've already risked your life multiple times. Now, your life is even more at stake. Why? Because you're blind. You could just be taking a stroll atop Pride Rock, and you could simply fall over the edge. Is that how you want to live the rest of your life?"
"No... fine, I'll do it," Adena sighed.
Sky and Adena walked out of the cave. Sky's tail was held high and a small small was spread across her face.
"I've decided to do it," Adena said. "I... I'll get the eye surgery."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Are....are you serious? Honey....if you really....really don't want to do it......I'd be more than happy to look after you! I.....I don't want you to do it because of me. It's your choice.

[Iri]

"No... I want to." Adena's tail flicked. "I guess Sky is a persuasive little mink, isn't she?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah....I guess she is. Sky....thank you baby! And Adena.....when you go in....I won't leave your side! Not even for a second until you can see again!
The next day the two travel to the city and find the clinic.
Adofo: Hi....we're here to get my daughter into the eye surgery.
Woman: Okay........the lion?
Adofo: Yes.
Woman: Okay.....let me get the doctor.
Moments later the doctor come out.
Doctor: So this is your umm....daughter?
Adofo: Yes. Adena.
Doctor: What's the problem?
Adofo: She was blinded by snake venom.
Doctor: Oh...wow! This is actually better than operating on a person! This will come in handy for animal research.
Adofo: Is there anything you can do?
Doctor: Yes! What we will do is go in, behind the eyes and use our latest technology to repair the damage caused by the venom! YOu wouldn't believe how many people run into spitting cobra's here! So...you ready to begin little lady?

Adena's neck fur rose. Sky gently nudged her on. Adena's tail flicked as a yes.
The doctor injected a needle into Adena's front leg to anesthetize her.
After a moment, Adena fell asleep and the doctors took her into a room to help fix her eyes.
"I'm sorry, sir, you and the other cub will have to wait out here," a woman said.

[Adofo]

Adofo: I'm NOT letting my daughter out of my sight! I....I promised her I wouldn't let her out of my sight!
Woman: ......oh....okay.
Adofo follows them. They rest her on a bed and Adofo holds her paw.
Adofo: Honey....I know you can't hear me....but I won't let go of you till you can see my face again!
Hours later they roll her into a room to recover. She is still asleep and they leave the two alone and bring Sky back to them.

About an hour later, Adena woke up. "Adofo? Sky?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yes! Yes honey we're here! Before you say anything, you're not blind, your eyes are just wrapped up! How....do you feel?

Adena's tail twitched. "I'm sore," she grunted. "What else am I supposed to feel?"
