Adofo swallows his mouthful.
Adofo: Kids........first I want to ask you all a question. And answer honestly! ......do you love me?

[Iri]

[I've lost count of how many times Adofo asks his children and grandchildren that.]

Adena and the other cubs nodded truthfully. "Yes, we do," Adena said. "We all do."

[Adofo]

(lol I know! It's just something he does! But after all the hate and abuse he went through when he was younger, it makes sense.)

Adofo: Because......there have been.....problems....in the past and i'm not going to name names but.........in my family.........there have been a few who have hated me.....an it's because of their human heritage. And since you're all my cubs, you are all part human. The problems were they thought having human blood inside of them made them.....weaker, less agile, stupider, and......not be REAL lions........... weather it's somehow true or not, it doesn't matter! You are what you make of yourselves! Not me, not your mother, YOU! If you want to be stronger, you can make yourself stronger! And I just.........it's just that family means EVERYTHING to me! .......It's all I've ever really had! And if any of you ever hated me then......................it'd break my heart. Just know kids that.........I love you! I love all of you so very VERY much! And I'll love you all until the day I die! ..........I just wanted all of you to understand.

[I know, but still. A bunch of my OC's went through hate and abuse too. Take my Kulia and her sisters for example... :I]

Adena went up to Adofo and touched her paw to his hand gently. "We understand," she said softly. "And we love you too. We all do." Her voice suddenly became a little hard. "And those who don't are bellbrains."

[Adofo]

(Yeah but do they feel hated because of their decisions or being the only one of their kind for miles and miles around?)

Adofo: Hehehe.......you really are mine!

[Iri]

[Uh... say what? What decisions?]

Adena smiled and licked Adofo's chin affectionately. "I love you, Adofo," she said lovingly. "With all my heart and soul!"

[Adofo]

(nevermind)

Adofo: I love you too sweetie!
He kissed hi daughter on her tiny little nose. After a while most of the zebra was gone.
Adofo: Ohhh.....I ate too much! Okay. You all ready for some practice?

[Iri]

[Um... okay...?]

The cubs shook their heads and stretched. "Not really," Blaze said. "I feel sleepy and full."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah. I know the feeling. We'll train a little bit in the morning then after that we'll do the real thing!
Adofo picked up the boys and put them in his hood and picked up the girls, one each in his arms.
Adofo: Come on. Let's go to bed.
When they got back to the cave Adofo laid down on the ground and put all five of his cubs on his chest.
Adofo: Goodnight kids! Daddy loves you!

The other cubs fell asleep after murmuring a drowsy "good-night" but Adena remained awake. She cautiously crawled off of Adofo's chest and sat down at the mouth of the cave. She stared at the starry night sky.
