[Adofo]

Adofo: Alright. Follow me.
Adofo takes them all to the grassiest part of the pridelands. He sits them right outside all of the grass.
Adofo: Okay. Lesson 1. You need to get as low as you can to the ground and you have to be careful not to make too much sound! Like this.
Adofo gets down on all fours only letting his fingers and toes touch the ground.
Adofo: Keep low and move slow. NOW I'm going to get in the grass and I'm going to pounce at you. Keep your eyes and your ears open and see if you can see me coming. Okay?
Adofo walks over into the tall grass and gets down. For awhile everything is completely quiet. The cubs hear nothing.

[Iri]

Adena twitched her ears and flicked her tail. "Hmm..." she murmured thoughtfully. She heard rustling but saw nothing.

[Adofo]

Adofo leaped out and landed right in front of his cubs. They all looked surprised but Smoke jumped and fell on his back.
Adofo: HAHAHAHA! Son you okay?

[Iri]

Smoke nodded and giggled. "I'm fine," he said.
"Good pounce,' Adena said. She flexed her shoulders and her claws. "So, what are some other hunting moves?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Okay. This one your dear ol' dad made himself! This isn't really a move, it's a technique. It helps you find your prey. I made it when my uncle Scar took over Priderock and animals were on a steep decline. There were VERY few animals so I had to make a way to find any nearby animals. Okay. Just lay down on the ground. Relax. Take slow deep breaths. Let there be nothing on your mind. Nothing at all. focus all your energy into your ears put your hands.....or...paws on the ground. Hear the ground talk to you. Hear the wind whisper to you. And once you master this, you can hear animals up to about two miles away.

[Iri]

Adena's ears flicked. "Really? How did you figure that out? Just by yourself?"

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yep! I've tried to teach others....but they never got it. But since you're my cubs, I think it won't be a problem for any of you! Now I want you all to go ahead and try it.

[Iri]

Adena shrugged. "I've seen Arida use that technique." She flicked her tail and crouched on the ground. Her paws were carefully on the ground, not moving at all. She slowly breathed in and out, clearing her mind. After a few long minutes, she stood up. "I think there's a zebra herd just a while away. It shouldn't take us too long to get there."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Good job sweetie! But first, what did the rest of you hear?

[Iri]

Smoke shrugged uneasily. "I just... sort of heard the air and a bunch of crickets."
"I didn't really hear anything," Achi said.
Steel shrugged too. "Nothing really."
Blaze nodded agreement. "Nothing. Just the air and water and... you know... nature."
