Adofo: Okay. But can I talk to you? Come sit in my lap.

[Iri]

Arida tentatively sits in his lap and faces him. She had gotten bigger since the last time she had sat in his lap.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Arida......did I do something wrong? You act.....different around me now!

[Iri]

Arida flattened her ears. "Nothing," she said shortly. "You didn't do anything wrong. I'm just growing up. My cubs are growing up quickly and soon they'll be leaving the pride and searching for mates. And I have Osain responsibilities." She sighed. "I'm not that energetic, speedy little cub anymore."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah....but I'm still your grandfather! And I feel like your drifting away! I don't want you to drift away!

[Iri]

Arida shook her head. "I'm not," she insisted. "I'm just busy with the responsibilities of being an adult."

[Adofo]

Adofo: You don't have to be an adult all the time! You just got to know when you don't have to!

[Iri]

Arida shrugged. "What do you mean?" Her ears flicked.

[Adofo]

Adofo: That's something you have to figure out yourself to understand. I just.......you grew up too fast! It's like your not my granddaughter anymore! Whenever I look at you.........I feel like your just another lioness.....not my grandcub. I feel awful for saying that but.....it just hurts! ......I just want my little granddaughter back!

[Iri]

Arida flicked her tail. "I'm not little anymore," she muttered. "And I am your granddaughter. But since I'm an adult now, I have no other choice but to act like an adult."
