Any Acne Tips/Routines?

Hey guys, one of my best friends is really bummed out cause she got a lot of acne. She said she's tried everything, cleansers, Proactive, the tooth paste remedy, and she's close to giving up, becoming depressed. She asked me if I know anybody who might know a way to help....
Have any of you guys used a product that worked for you? If you have ever had acne, or have acne, do/did you use something that helped a lot? Tips? I really need your help, my friend has low self-esteem, so I appreciate if you guys can help

Luckily, I don't get really bad acne, but I have a few tips that might help. As Acne is basically oily and greasy skin I would recommend washing your face when you wake up and before you go to sleep. I would also recommend if there are any particularly nasty spots to put some antiseptic cream on it and covering it with a plaster (I'd do this at night as it is a bit embarrassing, but it worked!) in the morning it should have a head and the spot can be squeezed.
Please tell your friend not to get depressed over acne. It will all eventually go and appearances aren't the main thing people judge you on. People look inside you!

It's probably hormonal acne. That kind doesn't go away whatever you do.

probably :T I've had some pimples, but rarely though, but it wouldn't get red or with the white center in it, it would be gone the next day, so I don't really know what was causing it But thanks for telling me, I'll try to tell her....... in the nicest way possible lol....

IDK if these will work for your friend, but they work for me and I hope they work:
1. Wash daily.(when drying: blot don't rub!) oldest trick in the book, but the best one 4 me.
2. Ask your parents (Mine poke and pop my pimples, it works, but can be annoying Moms can do it best!)
3. Oatmeal mask thingy leave it on for 5 minutes, then wash off(When drying, blot, don't rub)

I told her.............errrrrrrrrr......... she kinda went on a rampage XD complaining about how everybody she sees has flawless skin and she's like whining about like why me why do I have to have acne and I'm like -.-' *walkes away*

I don't know what to say, cuz I know the feelng. But I hardly ever leave my house, XD
If Proactive doesn't get rid of it, it's likely hormonal ones.
You could try going to a doctor about, penisillion works for me sometimes. But my mom is deadly allergic to it, so I hardly ever use it. I would rather have acne than be momless. Like if a trace or the smell got in hersystem, it could kill her. So be certain who in family or friends is allergic to it and keep it away from them!!

Neosporin... it's like for cuts but it works great with that! Just put some on before bed for a day or too and they're gone. She shouldn't feel so bad because everybody has it and she might think not as bad well she's wrong. I thought nobody had acne at my school then I realized they just covered their faces so thick with makeup ;P
