Territory Terror

Haramu hesitated, then shook his head.
"I know about the plane. And Mufasa and Sarabi took you in, then Simba was born. You did the paw thing, and... that's it really."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah....but let me give you the full story. My plane went down right as your uncles presentation was over. It had barely missed Priderock and crashed behind it. Rafiki and your grandfather went to check it out. They found my parents dead at the front behind the controls. Then they heard something. Crying. They looked around and found me. They thought I was a very odd little thing but they brought me outside and then something happened. A light, though the clouds, shined down onto me. Mufasa....had kinda taken a liking to me. They brought me back and everyone was puzzled as to what to think of me. They were all wondering what to do with me and when my parents were discussing it, Rafiki just sat me beside Simba while he was in my mom's arms. We noticed each other and I crawled to him. Everyone then watched to see what I would do. Me and him started playing and having fun and hugging. then she picked me up and put me right right to him and I held onto him tight. It was then that they knew what they were going to do. They made me their son! I've been happy ever since! And ever since then, I've hardly EVER left your uncles side! The first time ever was when Scar tricked him into going into the gorge and then everyone thinking he had died........It devastated me to lose both my father and my precious little brother.......I still have nightmares......I even had one last night.

"Last night? ...Why? I thought you were happy last night..." He moved his paws away from Adofo's head and lowered them onto his own chest.

[Adofo]

Adofo: No I was! I was....but......it just happens. Last night I had one of the ones where.....I was there. Watching Scar kill my dad and him chasing Simba away. I have always felt.....like it was my fault. That I could have stopped it. If I could have seen past Scar as being my uncle maybe.....maybe I could have saved him! Simba wouldn't have been lost all those years and maybe......maybe your grandfather would still be alive. I've always wondered.....since I messed that up....what else I'd ever done wrong and.....if my mom and dad ever thought of why they had to adopt me in the first place. Like.......why they should have to keep me.......like be ashamed of me.

"They wouldn't be ashamed of you. You had no control over any of that. It would have happened whetheer you saw past Scar or not. You think anyone would have believed you? It wasn't yoour fault. Don't think it was. Let it go."

[Adofo]

Adofo: .......thank you son! But you know......there are two things that I regret about you. What I did to you back at the city. And........i regret not being able to call you my son sooner! You know.......i don't know if you really know how much you mean to me!

Haramu snorted and rolled onto his side.
"I think I have a pretty decent idea, since you keep telling me," he teased, sprawling out along the ground. "What happened back there should... should stay back there. Here is home, and this is where things are important."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah....but son.......you are so important to me that if......you were about to be killed but i would be fine, i would take the final blow for you and get myself killed! Even if i knew you'd only get one more second of life......i'd throw my life away just for you to have that one second! You are so very precious to me! Sometimes I feel like you don't think i really love you! But I do! And you know what else? No matter how old you'll get.......you'll always be my little cub!

Haramu looked at him and smiled.
"Thanks, Dad. I'd do the same for you. ...And, back at the city... When I said to let me go, part of me didn't want you to. But the other part of me wanted to save you. I'd have gripped onto your uncle and... pulled him off. I could have caught on some ledge beneath you. I was trying to help you."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah......but I'd never let that happen. I wouldn't take the chance. I'd never let you fall! If you were to go.......I'd go with you!
Adofo Pulled him closer and laid Haramu's head on his chest. He gave him a big kiss on his forehead.
Adofo: Love you son!
