*In the city*
Arida: Let me go, you filthy humans!
Jacob: It's no use trying to escape, cubby.
Arida: I'm not a cub. And who are you?
Jacob: *Clears throat* I'm Jacob. I'm the lead male in this exhibit, so you'd better show some respect before I make you.
Arida: Jacob? *Snorts* Sounds like a typical human name!
Jacob: *Snarls* And you are?
Arida: It's Arida.
Jacob: Interesting. There are a few lionesses in this exhibit, but I'm not sure that they'd appreciate your attitude.
Arida: *Growls* Who are you to say that to me?
Jacob: As I said before, I am the lead male. Newcomers almost NEVER show this much boldness.
Arida: That's because they're cowards, like you.
Jacob: How dare you say that to me?!
Arida: I dare.
Jacob:

Fight me then, if you're so clever!
Arida: *Growls*
*Arida lunges at Jacob, growling, and Jacob swats her away. Jacob and Arida fight, despite the protests of the zookeepers. Soon Arida is perched on top of Jacob, paws on his neck and a snarl on her face.*
Arida: Had enough?
Jacob: *Snarls* You have won the fight, but you have not won the war. You fight well.
Arida: That's because I come from the wild. I sharpen my claws on great sycamores. I run freely in the savanna. I hunt wild gazelles and antelope and serve my pride as an Osain. My loyalties lie in the wild. Where do your loyalties lie? To the pathetic life of a zoo animal, to be gawked at by humans whom you don't know to trust?
Jacob:

Just get off of me, will you?!
[I have nothing against the name Jacob, by the way, I just thought that it didn't sound very lion-ish, so it would fit a zoo animal... It was the first thing that came to my head.]
