Suddenly very saddened. 'Horrendous cruelty: woman jailed (14 weeks) for microwaving kitten'. I cannot believe that somebody could do that. It's horrific. Utterly horrific. How can some people be like that??? :'(

Having pet cats myself anything I hear or see about cats in whatever peril really hits deep. Argh.

This is completely disgusting. People who harm animals are right down there with rapists and those who abuse children and the elderly, among others. How anyone can have such a blatant disregard and lack of respect for another living being is beyond me - it's truly sickening. Part of the reason why I'm voting for who I'm voting for as the next mayor of my city is because she has promised to fight for the imposition of stiffer penalties on those who harm and are cruel to animals.

I was feeling fine before I clicked on this thread, but now I'm furious and deeply disturbed.
