Well, if you think about it, it's not always disgusting. There are certain situations in which handwashing isn't totally necessary. It depends on the severity of the term 'use.' If the use is catastrophic, then handwashing is probably necessary. However, for light to moderate use, your hands collect fewer bacteria then they would simply by touching the water faucet.

Believe me. I've researched this. If anyone needs a topic for their Master's thesis, look no further.
