Listening to Kondo explain just who he was, the white furred lioness couldn’t help but to scowl as she took advantage of the situation, pretending to think for a moment before she retorted in a sarcastic voice.
”Kondom? Hmm, nope, sorry, doesn’t ring a bell. You must not be that great of a king or I would have at least heard of you, as I’ve traveled near and far.”
Eyeing the red maned lion carefully, seeing that he was still insistent on advancing towards her, the young lioness took a few more steps backwards until her hind quarters connected softly with a tree, causing the white furred lioness to tense up slightly, now that her secondary escape route was cut off. Taking up an even more offensive stance, in hopes of at least provoking the much larger feline to strike first, that way, she could at least calculate his attack and maybe dodge and outrun him, her ears perked once more as she heard him repeating his question from earlier, invoking an exasperated growl to leave her muzzle as she verbally snapped back at him.
”My name is Zina and I told you before, my business here is none of YOUR business.”
Hearing Kondo’s next inquiry about the pouch around her neck, Zina found herself a tad bit less intimidated by this supposed king, as he had no idea about just what sort of lioness she was. Building up a bit more courage, the white furred lioness boldly took a step forward as she continued to verbally harass Kondo.
”Pfft, you call yourself a king, yet you don’t know a Shaman when you see one? Pretty pathetic, don’t you think? I’m a Traveling Shaman, if that makes any difference to you, and now that you’ve been informed about me, I suggest you step aside so I can take my leave. I have no interest in your lands and even less interest in you yourself, so why don’t you run along and go rule over your make believe lands and leave us sane creatures to our own accord.”
Figuring she had made her point very clear now, Zina started to walk forward, keeping a keen eye on Kondo and keeping her stance so that her hind quarters were always as far away from the unknown male as was physically possible. Having no idea on which way to go however, but just wanting to distance herself from the large male, once there was about a few paws length away from Kondo and spotting an opening, Zina bolted like a flash of white lightning, her paws carrying her swiftly through the dense jungle. Travel was slow however, due to her unfamiliarity with the lay of the lands, causing her getaway to be quite delayed. Feeling her heart racing as she knew that if, in fact, this lion did rule over these lands, than he would be much more accustom to them and perhaps even would catch her. Shaking her head wildly, refusing to think of such disturbing thoughts, Zina ran as fast as her legs would allow, although due to the lack of sustenance that the young lioness was running off of and more so, the thick vegetation that slowed her pace, things weren’t looking up for a clean escape.
