"Don't worry. They'll see us enter Jorvaskar and think we are a small army who want nothing more than to fight for honor and glory" Silver assured them as they climbed the steps to her old.. No, present home.

Then it dawned on Silver. She could become a Companion again. If Kodlak would let her. She was home and here to stay. Silver couldn't wait to tell Astrid. That her mother was never again going to leave her like that again. To tell Farkus she would be at his side once more. Would Vilkas allow it though? He had made it plain as day she had lost his trust on their last encounter. As for Aela... There had always been some rivalry between the two of them, but now that Rahks was involved... That could help settle a few things.

Silver halted infront of the doors and pushed them open.

Rahks led the thieves down into the main hall with a smile Welcome my friends to the great hall of Jorvaskar, Home of the Companions. I know there is most likely no need for such words but, treat the Companions with the highest level of respect. They are our allies, and my friends The thieves nodded and began looking around, mostly admiring the place with the trophies and artefacts that covered the walls

Silver walked over to the table, where as always there were fresh dishes prepared.

"Help yourselves to food and drink. I'll go down and-" But her words were cut off by an arrow shooting through the air and embedding itself in the chicken next to Silver.

Looking up, she saw Aela standing in the shadows. Seeing SilverEye, and then Rahks, Aela lowered her bow and sighed. She also muttered something under her breath as she approached them, throwing the bow over her back as she went.

"By the name of Hircine, you could have told us you were all coming. I come home from my hunt and find the entrance hall full of thieves" Aela said, folding her arms stubbornly.

She glanced over at Rahks and smiled slightly, then looked at Silver more sternly.

"So... What news?"

At the sound of the arrow, all the thieves jumped up and drew weapons. Upon seeing that it was just Aela, Rahks chuckled to himself and smiled back at her Everyone stand down, Aela is of the Companions The thieves obeyed and put their weapons back, each in turn bowing in apology. Rahks moved forward closer to Aela My apologises Aela, it is good to see you again. I am sorry for the rushed visit but time is against us. We need to meet with all the Companions as soon as possible

"What do you mean? What's going on?" Aela asked detecting the urgency in Rahks voice. She looked from him, to Silver then back at Rahks.

"The Sun Legion march on Whiterun. How long we have before they hit us I do not know. Rahks and I have seen their settlement. They could attack at any minute. Where is everyone Aela?" Silver asked.

"Kodlak, Vilkas and the others are downstairs. Farkus is out on Companion business though" Aela said looking at the floor now rather than at Silver for she already knew how she was going to take this news.

"Wh.. .What?" Silver asked, this news making her heart sink and stomach tighten as worry began to fill her.

"He is out in Riverwood. I will send word and he can join us soon" Aela said.

"To Oblivion with that! I'll get him. He can't travel the roads alone, especially with the camps so close! If they see him... They'll kill him!" Silver yelled, spinning round and rushing towards the door.

Rahks quickly turned on his heel and raced forward, placing his hands on Silver's shoulders Silver... I can't let you do this. If the Legion is about to knock down these walls YOU will be the one to get killed, and this city will have lost a line of defence. Farkus is not stupid. He would remember the Legion and stay well clear, and if something did happen... I think your daughter would at least still want her mother around rather than lose both parents. I intend to make sure that does not happen however Rahks looked over to two of the thieves and nodded. They jumped up and ran out with haste My men will see his return. Thrynn is a former bandit and knows the land well, Niruin is the one who taught me how to use a bow. They will get him back safe, I swear it on my life Silver

Silvers eyes watered as she watched the thieves leave. She was grateful to them, but she wanted to follow them... To bring Farkus home herself. All the while he was out there she could not rest easy. She collpased in a chair next to Rahks and began to sob slightly, not caring every eye in the room was on her.

"You always were hot headed" Aela remarked, folding her arms.

Silver was about to yell at her, but someone jumped on her lap and wrapped their tiny arms round her neck, instantly calming the nord.

"I missed you mother. But I am pleased you are home safely" Astrid said sweetly.

Silver smiled and embraced her daughter tightly as muttering began to sound through the room. Aela meanwhile looked at the thieves. Her eyes lingered on Vex for a moment, then Delvin. She felt uncomfortable with them here, but she knew they needed to be.

"So where are the Sun Legion settled then? Do you think they'd attack us in broad daylight?" She whispered to Rahks.

Rahks quickly went to the table to take a bottle of mead and have a quick drink They are still a good march away. It is a sizeable force to be sure. They might be the Sun Legion but something tells me they will go for a night attack when the town is trying to rest Brynjolf and Karliah walked over Sorry to interrupt Karliah began quietly But me and Brynjolf are off to the Dragonsreach to seek aid from the Jarl. Rahks pondered a moment and mulled things over in his head See what terms he is after. If needs be we can agree to no guild work in the city and use our money as payment of service. We need the Jarl's help Karliah bowed with Brynjolf and both headed off up the slopes of Whiterun Sorry about that Aela, our heads are going manic. The Legion has already crippled the Brotherhood. Only two members remain now, Astrid was among the fallen. Silver asked the new leader to be free of that life, and her wish was granted. She is no longer a member of the Brotherhood Rahks left out the details of Astrids death and the Night Mother. Such information was not needed. He spoke only what needed to be heard

All heads in the room turned and she closed her eyes, muttered something and looked up at Rahks, a stern expression on her face.

"Follow me. We best speak of this in private" She remarked, leading him off down the stairs.

Silver sat with Astrid in her arms, rocking back and forth slightly, worrying about Farkus more than anything. She had already lost her sister in the last few days. She couldn't lose Farkus aswell.
