Lion King: The Complete Score...

The soundtrack was never released as an official soundtrack, but as a promotional product for the movie (which only lasted for one day), but there are numerous rumors and/or theories as to why the soundtrack was never re-released. However I remember a few years ago I was able to purchase the entire album. If I can remember or find the link I'll be more than happy to upload the link to it.

I'm not sure if it's true, but I remember reading somewhere once that it is in the slightly wrong format, as in it plays a fraction too slow, and if sped up the right amount sounds better, but I can't remember how much it needs to be sped up.

I wonder how one would go about petitioning Disney for the official release of a complete score like this? There certainly is a large enough fan base to warrant it.
