The ride went smoothly and the duo arrived at the sanctuary in the early afternoon. Rahks dismounted and tethered his steed. He moved to the door and opened it up, stepping aside, and holding it open, waiting for Silver

Silver let Shadowmere wander off of his own accord. She knew the steed would return to her when she needed him so was not fearful when he bolted into the forest. When she turned back to the sanctuary her heart sank. Returning here was like returning to a prison, but she couldn't falter... Nor show her true feelings so she put her brave face on, just like she had three years ago.

Silver pushed past Rahk's gently and entered the sanctuary slowly. When she got into the main room, a knife was launched at her and embedded itself in the wall, inches from where Silver stood. Shockingly, Silver didn't even flinch. It was almost like she had been expecting this sort of welcome.

"And where exactly have the two of you been? I expected you back two days ago!" Astrid spat, silently revealing herself from the shadows.

Rahks came down the steps only to hear Astrid yelling once more. He picked up the knife from the wall and hurled it at Astrid's feet, and walked over to the table opening up his side bag We were doing as you asked us to do, and yes we got a little side tracked with something important. That can wait however. You can tell me where you got that necklace and note cause it was worth a kings ransom Rahks pulled out 3 smaller bags of gold and the note from Delvin

Silver walked to the bookcase and leant on it, folding her arms stubbornly. She wasn't happy with how Astrid was reacting, especially after all she had given up to come back to her.

"We have good reason to be late sister. We bring grave news" Silver began.

Astrid strode forward and leant towards her older sister.

"Enough... I need to speak with you, in private" She whispered so Rahk's couldn't hear.

"Sorry Rahks. I must borrow my sister for a moment. I will return to hear your news soon. Please, go on through to the halls" Astrid said in a tone of politeness.

Silver nodded to Rahks as if hoping he would obey before following Astrid towards her quarters.

Rahks watched Astrid and Silver carefully leave before heading down further into the sanctuary. He could hear muttering in the distance, and as he drew closer he saw the members of the brotherhood in a circle surrounding what seemed to be a court jester, yet he wore light assassins robes. It was this mans voice that he heard Oh yes yes, come to meet Cicero, come together as family to meet family! Woo Hoo Rahks raised an eyebrow in confusion and watched the proceedings

Anjborn looked up as Rahks approached and frowned slightly.

"Yes... this is Cicero.. our special guest" He said with annoyance taking a bite out of the meat he was holding in his hand.

Astrid near enough slammed the door behind them. This caused SilverEye to sigh for at that moment she knew she was going to be yelled at and right now... A lecture from her younger sister was the last thing she needed or wanted.

"Care to explain what the hell you were doing in Whiterun?!" Astrid said with her arms folded.

"We were sent there by the thieves guild and-"

"And you decided to stop by and play happy families with your filthy husband"

Silver paused and her and Astrid locked eyes for a moment. There was something in those eyes that told her that Astrid knew... She knew where Silver had been and what she had been doing. Her eyes fell to the floor. What would she do? Have them killed? Punish Silver?

"We had to warn the Companions of the Sun Legion... and yes... I did see Farkus and my daughter. Is that so wrong?" Silver challenged.

"It's wrong when you are in the Dark Brotherhood... It's wrong when you know how I feel about the damned companions and you know it's wrong when they threw us out!" Astrid said, her voice rising with every word now.

Silver didn't flinch, she merely stood with her arms folded which only frustrated Astrid further.

"What is wrong with you Astrid? Lately you've not been yourself..." Silver remarked but with concern in her voice.

"Nothing is wrong with me. Don't change the subject. Tell me of this Sun Legion"

So Silver did, which led on to how they ended up in Whiterun and about the parade. She downplayed the part of saving Farkus, but she told Astrid she made the Brotherhood known and made them look strong which seemed to please her. When Silver then went on to ask the next thing however, Astrids mood flared up once again.

"We must join with the thieves and Companions on this. Alone we are dead, but together we can win"

"The Brotherhood has a bond with the thieves guild.. But never will I take up arms with the Companions. Not after what they did to us"

"Astrid.. you know that isn't" Silver began, but she was cut short immediately.

"Get out SilverEye. I have no more to say to you" Astrid said with a wave of her arm.

"So you'll have us stand alone in this fight against the Sun Legion.. You'll kill all of us!" Silver said with fear.

At that moment, Astrid rounded on Silver and threw her hands round her throat. Silver could easily have disarmed her, but she didn't for fear of hurting her little sister who for some reason she still cared deeply about.

"I run this Sanctuary.. You'd do well to remember that. Now get down there and be friendly with our guest. I'll join you all shortly" She snarled, throwing her hands away roughly.

Silver sighed and massaged her neck before turning her back on her sister and walking back to the halls.

"You're making me regret my decision to return to you" Silver muttered as she left.

Rahks looked over at Cicero and shook his head slightly I am not sure if to lock him up or kill him.. he seems... insane

With those words Cicero came over with a huge smile and a chuckle Insane? Me? OOOH does the little kitty cat not like Cicero?

Cicero's words made Rahks pull himself up and look down on the small man I just don't take kindly to fools Cicero

Cicero didn't even look a bit intimidated just kept smiling Easy kitty hehe we are all family here, one big family yes?

Rahks flashed a toothy grin Check again fool, I am not of the Brotherhood

Circeo looked closer and grinned An outsider...she might not be happy..not happy at all.. but Cicero will obey her hehe

Cicero skipped off across that hall leaving Rahks looking baffled What in the name of Deadra goes on in his head...

"Who's the annoying jester?" Silver asked as she approached and caught sight of the man.

She wasn't amused by this and raised an eyebrow as he skipped off. She turned back to Rahks, but avoided mentioning Astrids bad mood with Anjborn standing close by. Besides, she was going to be joining them soon.

"Why is he here?" She whispered.

Rahks leaned closer to his friend and whispered back Judging by his clothes and the way he is talking, I would say a new recruit. Gods know why he is here and why Astrid brought him. Speaking of which what did she want?

Silver was about to answer when Astrid appeared at that moment. She locked eyes with her sister for a moment before leaning towards her.

"I want you to keep a close watch on him and find out what he is up to. I don't trust him.. He keeps muttering to himself in his study and he has an ill favored look about him" She whispered.

Silver merely nodded knowing anything she said Astrid would challenge so she merely gave a swift nod of her head. As Astrid walked off, Silver looked at Rahks and smirked hoping he would assist her in the spying of Cicero.
