Rahks nodded towards his friend I am indeed fine, our talk was...interesting Rahks stood back and listened too Aela. He noticed Silver was tense about this plan, and wondered if it was such a good idea Can you assure us Silver will be safe? What's to stop others from just lashing out at her? His stance was strong and his tone showed clear concern, not wanting her to come to harm

Meanwhile behind the walls of Solitude. The leaders of the Sun legion began getting reports in from the field. A solider ran down the torch lit halls of the main garrison, heading to the main office. He burst inside, holding a report sheet Commander, news from the field sir!! The Commander looked up from his desk, an Imperial in his mid thirties. He indicated for he solider to continue Yes sir. Our forces in Windhelm and Riften have not made any progress thus far, yet in Whiterun our battalion was wiped out by a thief, and an assassins. They were aiding a werewolf

The commander rose up and walked over taking the report to read. He crumpled it and tossed it aside So..they already are gathering against us, this is sooner than I hoped He was lost in thought a moment, went to his desk and pulled out a letter Take this to all outposts, tell them to mobilize as soon as possible The man nodded taking the letter and ran off

"Vilkas might try, but I think Farkus can deal with him" Aela assured Rahks as if assuming he knew that Farkus and Vilkas were brothers.

That didn't settle Silver's nerves anymore and if possible, she gripped her husbands hand even tighter. Farkus, now feeling the blood leaving his hand gently pried Silver's hand off his own and looked up at Aela.

"Vilkas will be fine.... But why must Silver come along?"

"To prove she is really on our side and not to mention.. It can be a sort of punishment for her sins. She should be made to feel the guilt" Aela began, but Farkus shot up.

"NO! Aela... you don't understand" Farkus began, but this time Silver cut across him.

"It's alright Farkus. I'll do it. I'll return and speak to Kodlak with Rahks and Aela. If we want to win this war, then we will have to start working together and if Aela is so desperate for me to prove myself, then what choice do I have?"

There was silence in the room and Silver looked over at Rahk's guiltily for she couldn't begin to imagine how awkward this must be for him. After a while, Aela fastened the belt on her shoulder and turned away.

"Let's get going then"

Rahks began following the group out the temple and towards Jorvaskar. Though it was later in the day, there was still some snowfall, even if it had eased off a little bit. While they walked Rahk's mind wondered a little I know that the Companions are a group of loyal and honourable warrior, but what more is there to them? Surely it can not be just a 'band of merry men and women'? His question was not directed at anyone, open for any who would answer him

Silver nervously got to her feet and began to follow the others towards Jorvaskar. She felt like her heart was in her mouth and with every step she took, more and more dread filled her. She was fearful of what lay ahead and even Farkus's reassurance was not enough to comfort her. They would hate her... And her daughter...how could she face her?

Aela turned to Rahks and decided that she would answer his question.

"We fight for honor and for glory. We defend the weak and protect the innocent. That is what it means to be a companion" She said proudly, gently running her hand over her bow "And what of the thieves guild? I don't think i've met one of your own before. Tell me about your Guild and what you do"

Rahks nodded in understanding at Silver, then was a bit taken back by her sudden curiosity As I have mentioned briefly we work of contracts and specialized jobs. When you think of the word thief, you think to those in pure black robes and hoods over their head, stealing from homes in the dead of night. The guild has nothing to do with them, they give us the bad reputation. The only upside is it keeps people away. When we get a job, we are given some payment before hand, mostly for supplies. From there we do what needs be done. Every contract involves people high in society, those that abuse their power or belittle others. As such we are requires to steal, important documents, certain items of value, and of course we help ourselves to trinkets on the way. This completes the job, knocks the target off their high horse. As for what we earn. A portion goes to up keeping our hideout, we take what we want, the rest goes to the poor. Beggars, orphans, the sick and weak. Ask any member of the guild and they will likely have sob story and how the guild helped them

Aela listened as Rahk's explained about his Guild and to be honest, she was rather impressed. Like most people, she assumed that they were all just petty thieves who went around picking pockets for coins and robbing peoples homes. When he explained their rules and morals however, she was impressed and smiled at him, something Aela rarely did.

"I had no idea" She said after some time at the foot of the steps that led to Jorvaskar.

"I don't believe I have introduced myself, my name is Aela" She said, outstretching a hand to Rahks before they were going to walk up the stairs.

Silver began to shake so much it was visible. Never had she felt nervousness like this, even with Farkus on her side now she was struggling with every step towards her old life. It wasn't so much how the others reacted.. It was the feelings it may rekindle, especially with her daughter.

"Farkus... I can't do this.." She muttered, turning to flee into the village, but he caught her wrist and gently held her back.

"You can and you will. I know how strong you are" He assured her.

Silver gulped, apparently not convinced and halted behind Aela and Rahks.

Rahks looked up to the Nord and smiled, reaching up and clasped hands, shaking hers My pleasure Aela, as you already know I am Rahks, Nightingale of the Thieves Guild He broke off the shake and looked behind. Hearing Silvers words he stepped down to her and place a hand on her shoulder Silver, I can not imagine what you are going through right now but think of why you are doing this. The Sun Legion marches to being their 'New Dawn' and will stop at nothing. They will kill you, me the thieves, the assassins, and even the Companions! This is the first step to protecting everyone, especially your daughter who is nothing but innocent in this

When Rahk's mentioned her daughter, Silver's eyes flickered with fear. She hadn't even thought of that. Her daughter was, like he said totally innocent in all this and she had to protect her. That being said, it didn't help with the prospect of seeing her again. In that moment, Silver felt like a bad mother indeed and she looked down at the floor. For a good few moments, she stared at the ground beneath her before looking back up at Rahks.

"You're right..." Silver muttered.

"Let's get going. We need to relay this message to Kodlak" Aela prompted, which got the little party moving again.

"I'll ask Eurland Greymane to craft a special dagger for you. I hear you thieves are good with daggers" Aela said curiously.

Rahks smirked over Aela comment, she did have some insight... if a little off It is true we are fond of our little playtoys, however we avoid combat where possible. If I do find myself in such a situation.. I prefer more... personal methods He reached to his sides and tapped his claws over his twin ebony blades, as he followed Aela into the great hall of the Companions

"Suit yourself, but if there is anything you need. Do not hesitate to ask" Aela told Rahks as she began to walk up the stone steps to the Companions home, known as Jorvaskar.

For Aela, the walk was easy, but for Silver every step was agony. The Nord had decided to be strong for her daughter and for Farkus, but all she wanted to do in that moment was disappear into the void herself and never return. When they reached the top, Silver was still visibly shaking, but Farkus pretended not to notice.

"Hey Aela, who have you bought back this time?! New recruits?" Came a voice that Silver recognized immediately as Tovar.

"Not exactly... And one of them you'll want to kill, but I must insist that you don't lay a hand on her or Rahk's here might not take to kind to it" Aela said darkly as Tovar then saw who had returned.

"Oh you have got to be kidding..." Tovar said, reaching for his sword, but Aela grabbed his wrist.

"We don't have time for this. She means us no harm. If not for her and the Khajit, Farkus would be dead. Now, come with us to see Kodlak" She told the man and he nodded, but cast a glare in Silver's direction full of loathing.

"I think he missed me" Silver whispered to Rahks.
