'So what?' Eden replied, suddenly nervous about what her friend was going to ask. Was she going to ask something personal? How could she answer that. This was ridiculous-

This is because you've never had a friend, she reminded herself. It was true; how was she to know what to expect? Instead of shying way, she gave Rowen an encouraging look.

'So, what happened today?' She asks.

'What do you mean by that?' He grumbles.

She raises an eyebrow, 'Look, I saw ok?' she sighs.

*Awkward*-he thinks. 'I never saw you...'

'Oh...errr, no....I was.....Sorry...'

'There's no need to apologise.....'

"So," she grinned. "Where do you live? Is it fun having a brother? I wish I had one." Her words tumbled out as she looked expectantly at Eden, pale face curious.

'This is going to sound horrible, but before now, I thought you were a idiot...' She starts.

'And I thought you were a blood-sucking parasite...' He grins.

'But.....'

'In a pretty nice house. Not as grand as yours, but it would be unnecessary, with only two of us actually living there,' Eden remarked, fiddling with a lock of hair. 'As for brothers... He's pretty protective and all, a bit annoying, but I love him to bits. I don't know what I'd do without him,' she said, emotions strong on her voice. Not matter what she said, Elijah always came first in her life. 'And maybe you don't want one,' she said cheekily, well aware her brother could here.

'Hey!' Came an indignant voice from across the landing, prompting Eden to laugh.

Rowen joined in with her friend's laughter then drew her knees up to her chest and rocked forward. "Perhaps not," she chirped, "but it does get lonely. "Do you live near the woods? I love them so much but they hate me. Papa says the woods love werewolves as much as they love the woods." She smiled tightly, then looked thoughtful.

"Perhaps Ramsey and Elijah should stay together," she said thoughtfully, "we should ask. He's already seen me in my undergarments, so why not us in our nightgowns?"

Eden nodded enthusiastically.

'We have a huge forest- well, technically, it isn't ours- but we're always over there, when we don't have to be somewhere else; and we always seem to bump into more wolves. There are quite a few, ah, would friendly be the right way to describe it? It's difficult to explain- when werewolves first meet another, they never attack. We're always allies until proven otherwise. It does make room for lots of backstabbing, but it does stop plenty of murder, I suppose.' Seeing her friends expression, she instantly hurtled on. 'I mean- oh it makes seem like savages! I mean, it just means we see lots of werewolves about, who are friendly. You'd be surprised how many if us there are- and who are werewolves.' Eden gave Rowen a meaningful look, as if suggesting a very high celebrity of some kind. Maybe she was.

'But maybe you're not too bad...For a werewolf...' Issabelle smiles.
'Maybe...' He agrees.
'Well...we'd better get some sleep?'
'Ok....you can sleep where you want, but I'm probably going to stay awake...'
'Of course you are...' She says sarcastically.
She watches as he climbs the tree skilfully and sits on a branch high up. He leans back against the wood and watches her from the corner of his eye.

Rowen shrugged. "I think it sounds good. You all treat each other like family, instead of being cold and polite. I don't think it's savage at all, in fact...," she shrugged, "sometimes if almost rather be a werewolf. You know, turn into a massive wolf." She grin then beckoned end towards the door. "Want to ask Ramzy then go to bed?"

Septimus stares at the lights that come from the house and sighs, he had to stop thinking about them...They were...He didn't need them...He had himself... and Issabelle for however long that lasted...
