[Closed] Little Stranger (Taraji Chapter 1)

Re: Little Stranger (Taraji Chapter 1)

It had taken her quite some time but Kiara had finally managed to ease her mother’s troubles as best she could. The pair of lionesses had been talking to one another for what felt like forever. Now, with her mother’s worries at ease for the mean time, Kiara emerged from the main den and started to make her way down the slope leading into The Grasslands but halted in her tracks as two familiar looking figures caught her attention. Smiling to herself, Kiara made her way back up the slope and onto the promontory of Pride Rock. Not wishing to scare her mate, and more importantly, Taraji, who was seated comfortably atop Kovu, Kiara made her presence known in a casual way as she spoke to her mate.

”Couldn’t wait for me to get back, so you came looking for me, huh Honey?” Kiara stated in a playful fashion, fluttering her eye lids in a loving way.

Turning her attention towards Taraji, who seemed to be in quite the high spirits, Kiara spoke affectionately towards the energetic cub.

”Looks like you haven’t gotten bored with Daddy yet, hmm Cutie? Well, Mommy has to do one more thing and then I’ll be back to spend some more time with you and Daddy, okay?”

Giving Taraji a light lick over her cute little cheek, Kiara returned her gaze back to her mate as she spoke sweetly to him.

”My mom’s doing better now Honey but she asked me to do her one quick favor. I gotta go make sure Laini is comfortable in her new den. This shouldn’t take very long but if something comes up, you can leave Taraji in the care of Nala. Maybe she can get some lunch from her, since I assume you found Cutie some breakfast?”

Unable to resist Kovu’s charming appeal, Kiara found herself leaning in close, planting a sensual kiss upon her mate’s soft muzzle lips before she murmured quietly in his ear.

”You’re doing such a great job with Taraji today Honey. I knew you’d be the best father ever and I love you so much.”

Presenting one last warm smile to the both of them, Kiara took her leave and bounded off towards the direction of the new den that Laini was assigned to, calling back over her shoulder as she departed.

”I’ll catch up with you in a bit Honey. Be good for Daddy Taraji.”

Leaving the peaceful scene behind her, Kiara made tracks straight for the den that Nala had told her Laini was staying at. Upon arriving however, Kiara spotted no sign of the younger lioness, sparking her curiosity as she thought about where Laini could be at. Slightly recalling the location of the solitary lioness’ previous den, despite the fact that it was quite far from where she was now, knowing that her mother was counting on her to check up on the young lioness, Kiara reluctantly dashed off towards the outskirts of The Pride Lands.

After a brisk run, Kiara finally made it to where the lone den that had once belonged to Laini, stood. Not knowing the full details of why exactly Laini had received a new den, as Nala wasn’t too clear on the specifics of the matter, Kiara simply sat at the entrance of the small abode, waiting for Laini to hopefully show up, as her presence was not apparent in the small den itself. Sensing that the young lioness would return to the place that was most familiar to her, as she herself would probably do the same thing if she were in Laini’s paw prints, the golden furred princess waited quietly as she thought about her family and how badly she wanted to be with them right now, instead of doing pointless favors to check up on someone else.

Kivuli glared at Simba. He was ragign inside. How easy it would be to just pounce now, taking Simba by suprise, then taking him down for good. Kivuli had to restrain himself fom this as it could cause an issue. Eventally Vitani walked away and it put Kivuli at some ease. It was one less thing to worry about. Eventaully Kivuli spoke. Doing the one thing he hated. Sucking up to Simba Fine ill do what you ask. Sorry for saving you daughter from frezzing, I didnt know it was such a crime Kivuli words were spoken with a hint of vemon. He was getting told off for helping Simba's daughter

Kovu was interrupted from his staring out at the pridelands by Kiara who had climbed up after them without his noticing. He grinned lovingly as she spoke first to him, then to Taraji. He tried not to look indecently pleased with himself at his mate's praise, and happily reciprocated the kiss she left him.

"All right, I'll do that. I love you Kiara." Kovu said as Kiara turned away.

Kovu sat with Taraji for another few moments, the shining pridelands below, and thoughts of his mate feeding off each other to make him more at peace with the world than he had been in a while. Eventually he stirred.

"Well then Taraji, have you had enough sightseeing for one day? Let's go back down and see Nala. She's feeling better now thanks to your mom."

Taraji looked behind from Kovus back as they moved on and the distance to Kiara grew with every step.
She did not understand why Kiara would not go with them. Kovu was okay. She was used to him but the real substitude for her mother in this land was Kiara. She was the one Taraji loved the most and so she looked at her with big sad eyes until she was out of sight.

Hearing Kivuli’s smug comment yet not being in the mood to deal with his attitude, Simba simply flashed him a glare before he turned his focus to more important matters. He would deal with Kivuli at a later time and assuming that his words had sunk in, Simba felt as though, he could at least trust Mila to stay clear of the chauvinistic male.

Finally watching in relief as his pride members slowly dispersed, each going their own separate way, leaving Simba alone to deal with the important matter at paw now. Clearing his mind as best he could of the previous event that had caught him off guard, Simba’s focus fell upon the nearby den that Nala had informed him about, to which the two newest visitors to their lands were staying at. Recalling the heated conversation he and his mate had had over the subject of their first born son and the arrival of this new male, who seemed to share the same name and looks as their first cub did, Simba’s feelings started to become jaded once again as he made his way over to the entrance of the den. Upon arriving at the entranceway, Simba’s gaze met with that of a dark furred lioness with piercing onyx eyes. He also noticed the other sleeping feline that the dark furred lioness was seemingly protecting. Speaking in a calm, yet still rather stern voice, Simba addressed the lioness, who seemed to have already been observing his presence for some time now.

”Good afternoon. My name is Simba and I am the ruler of these lands. I must ask to speak with you and your mate there. Apparently you and him have already met my mate, Nala, and she seems to be under the assumption that your mate there, is our long lost cub. Now, forgive me for sounding straight forward and to the point but seeing how this situation is very personal, I must insist that you wake your mate so that I may question him further about his past.”

While not trying to come off as being impatient, there was an unmistakable amount of animosity notable within Simba’s voice as he spoke to the pair. Due to the dim lighting of the den, Simba himself wasn’t able to get a clear picture of Kopa’s features, especially with the way Rahina was laying, obscuring Simba’s view of the slumbering male however, despite his mixed feelings, Simba tried to remain civil as he waited for a response from the dark furred lioness.

Rahina gazed at Simba with her onyx eyes as he addressed her. Even if he was the king and told her something about Kopa being his son she really was not up to wake him.

"Excuse me sir but he is very tired at the moment and it it can be helped I would rather let him sleep and answer the questions for you. You see..." Rahina raised to her paws and positioned herself before Kopa in a very protective way. "... he told me everyting about what he can remember. It is not much but maybe it will be enough for you? If you have any further questions that I can not answer I may wake him up.... If it can't be helped that is."

Rahina glazed at Simba with an as stern look as Simbas vioce was before. She really had no intention to let this lion - and may he be the king - get near enough to Kopa to be able to harm him in any way.

Daxis stopped after he went the whole time until he reached a very dry area. He knew it was a fault but he didnt want that Laini lose her den. The sun shined hard on his fur and he hackled. His paws hurt and he looked in the sun. Daxis' Vision got blurred and he dithered. The red maned cub decided to went back but fainted next to a small tree near the waterhole.

Seeing the reaction he had caused within the dark furred lioness, although feeling a bit irritated by the way she was being so protective over his alleged son, Simba toned his voice down a bit as he tried to reassure her.

”I mean your mate no harm, um, Rahina, right? So you can relax. I don’t want to sound rude, but I really must speak with Kopa directly. It’s not that I feel as though you wouldn’t be able to answer the questions that I have, but like I stated before, this matter is quite personal and I would appreciate it if you roused your mate.”

Taking a seat as to show that his intentions were sincere, Simba waited for his request to be fulfilled. All the events of the day were weighing heavily upon his mind and his patience was wearing thin now as he watched Rahina closely.

Despite the conversation that was taking place right in front of him, Kopa hadn’t stirred at all, his energy completely drained from staying up too many hours and from the lack of food and water from the past few moons. Resting peacefully next to his beloved mate, Kopa remained unaware of the situation outside the den as he continued to dream about days past, spent with his precious mate in their once majestic oasis home.

Kivuli watched as Simba walked off to one of the nearby dens. He sighed. Mant possibilties of his return had played n his mind. Ths was not one of them. Kivuli knew by now fightign wasnto going to work. Nor was worming his way in. He had to be the loyal trusting subject. The mighty lion took a quick drink before following the king over to the cave. He lay in the dirt wacthing Simba. Waiting to speak with him

"Come on downstairs little one." Kovu continued, seeing that his words had had little effect on the distracted cub. "I'm sure Nala will be happy to see you again. She loves taking care of you almost as much as Kiara and I."

Kovu nudged Taraji gently to bring her mind back to the moment, and lead her back down the path leading to the main den and the promontory of Pride Rock. He hesitated at the mouth of the den, not knowing what exactly to expect. Nala had seemed deeply upset earlier, but then again that was a fair while ago. He popped his head into the den and waited for his eyes to adjust to the relative darkness.

"Nala?" He called uncertainly. "Are you in here? Taraji wanted to say hello." As he spoke Kovu stepped farther into the den.
