Months ago, the democrats had someone who was equally as experienced as Hillary, with great judgement and foresight. He had the enthusiastic support from people all over the country, many who had felt disenfranchised or had never been interested in politics before. He was able to raise obscene amounts of money rivaling Hillary's corporate donors, but from millions of small contributions averaging no more than $27 a piece. He breathed life into the democratic party, giving many Americans hope that maybe, just maybe, we can have a country that works for all of us, and not just the richest one percent. He was honest and trustworthy, with an infallible track record dating back several decades. He brought a new set of issues to the table, with specific, detailed policies and plans for our future.
That was all fine and good... but then the democrats decided instead to dump him because he wasn't a corporate shill who could help them keep their pockets stuffed. It went something like this: Wait, we have a nominee that actually has the support of the people! Oh no, it's Hillary's turn, this wasn't supposed to happen! Can't have that! Let's get the media against him and purge voter registration records so that Hillary has to win. Even with all the superdelegates on our side, this is still too risky.
Oh... and when they find out what we did... RUSSIANS! LET'S BLAME RUSSIANS! DAMN RUSSIANS! And oh! Trump! FEAR THE TRUMP! He's so dangerous... we need our Queen Hillary to come save us!
And of course, a good portion of the Democrat's voter base is actually going along with this. A few can see through it to the truth, though. It's because of this that I cannot bring myself to support Hillary, no matter the circumstances. If she won the primary fair and square, I would probably be voting for her. But now? Oh, come on. I won't stoop to that level. Our democracy deserves better.
