I think you guys are taking it a bit too seriously.
The movie was meant to be funny.

and why were T&P the main characters? In the other parts they were the "comic" reliefs.
(not my sense of comic, but wth)
The only things that were original was the "digga tunna" song, with the meerkat characters, and that african-like song. For the rest, it was just copy 'n paste and some retarded LOL edited.
For me, it was like they were making fun of the first movie. FAIL.

i would like to know^^

That's the thing about funny movies; they have to be funny.
Now, I like Timon and Pumbaa (who doesn't?), but they're meant to be supporting characters that spout one-liners. And that was the biggest thing that bit 1 1/2 AND the TV show on the butt; the producers made it revolve around these side-characters. And comic relief guys can only be any funny for so long. The Lion King 1 1/2 was a good idea on paper, but the execution drug it out back, especially towards the ending where it seemed like the producers simply gave up and decided to pull ideas out of a hat. To be fair though, there were a couple laughs here and there, and for a Disneyquel, the animation was quite good; I'll go has far to say it was almost on-par with the original.
