Great work! Thank you for your efforts. I did not know that this comic even existed. :)

Is there a greater movie than The Lion King? :-)

Is it possible to buy the Lion King comics like The Family Tree somewhere?

Woah, old thread...

Anyway, to answer your question: yes, you can buy physical copies of these comics, provided that you can find the magazines they appeared in. They usually appear in Disney magazines and comic books from the Netherlands, Germany or elsewhere. I've seen them for sale on various sites (most of them not in English), but I've never tried buying one before. Try using this site to track down which comics appeared in which magazines.

Sorry for the late reaction! Thank you very much! And is it possible to buy the Lion King books too?

Just a quick reply -- I was looking at the German version of "Royal Duties" and noticed that some of the dialogue in one scene looked a bit different than the translated version. Just for fun, I tried translating part of that scene, and came up with a translated version somewhat different than the existing one (which I think was translated from the Norwegian version):

[1st panel, Simba and Nala are walking towards the baby cubs]
NALA: I bet you'll be less nervous with the babies! You have to take care of them today!
SIMBA: I know! A future king is never spared!

[2nd panel, Nala plays with the cubs while Simba sulks]
SIMBA: Hmph! First, I get knocked down by a cheeky girl... and now, babies!
NALA: Yeah, yeah...you've had it rough!

[3rd panel, cub licks Simba's chin]
SIMBA: Well? Do you like that? I'm not a lollipop, is that clear?
NALA: What, then? Chewing gum, maybe?

[4th panel, cub bites Simba's tail]
SIMBA: OWW! Nala! You lead the babies to stupid ideas!
NALA: Better than no stupid ideas, you Royal Loudmouth!

This was really good. Thanks for scanning/translating!

We press play, don't press pause.
Progress, march on.
With the veil over our eyes,
we turn our back on the cause.
'Till the day that my uncles can be united by law,
when kids are walking 'round the hallway plagued by pain in their heart.
A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are.
And a certificate on paper isn't gonna solve it all,
but it's a good place to start.
