Twilight

I tried reading the graphic novel version from the library. I could not watch the movies. I found Carlisle and the secondary characters far more interesting than the main ones. I TRIED to suspend my disbeliefs. I don't make fun of anyone who likes it. The verdict: boring.
Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time… It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other.

Also, Twilight breaks the biggest rule in writing: Show, don't tell.

That's very ashameful for this saga to be so overatted, yet the author broke the biggest rule in literature. Also, I found out that Stephanie Meyer was too afraid to read horror novels, didn't read vampire novels, and she lacked the research of vampires and the Great Depression. Pathetic writer.
If you don't mind me asking, what's the 'Show, don't tell' rule?
Hope I'm not a bother ^.^
:? I think what SimbaObsesser is trying to say is that Twilight tells it like "Bella ran over to Edward." instead of "Bella dashed vigorously in pursuit of Edward." Bella tells what is happening to her instead of explaining to the reader what is happening to her. Like she is not showing the reader with her words, but merely flat out telling you what is happening with little description.

the ONLY reason why the Twilight movies are so overrated, is because of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

my thoughts on it: was worth watching only for ONCE, because my curiousity got the best of me. But it kinda sucked, since most of the movies are all about a sparkling vampire and a half-naked wolf guy (who probally is too poor to even buy a shirt) fighting over some girl.

If you wanna watch a movie with REAL vampires, I suggest 30 Days of Night.

To further explain, this is where I found out about it.

ME!!! I liked twilight back in 2007 BEFORE the movies even existed, when I was still waiting for the next book to come out <3 t'was an awesome time. Even though the movies and over-excitable fanbase has kinda ruined Twilight's credibility, I remain a Fanpire through and through.
