Norway Attacks

Odd how a mass murderer who murdered over 70 people in cold blood will only get 21 years jail, while someone in the U.S who would kill only óne person would already get a life-sentance as if he/she killed 70 people. both legal systems suck.

I can't believe this norway idiot is even allowed to use a pc in the prison where he will be going for 21 years. he might even ''infect'' alot of people with his retarted idealogy, who are stupid and/or dumb enough to look up to him, since he already received letters and emails from fangirls.
Seriously?

Tsk, some people... Hopefully he'll stay there for the rest of his life. >.>
That is not gonna happen. The state of Norway can legally keep him another 5 years after the 21 years. According to the average live expectancies he will still be alive by then.
Sad.

Agreed. But then, I also agree with Flip's statement that if you take a life, yours should be taken from you. An eye for an eye, a life for a life. Of course, with legal systems like the one we have here, a murderer sentenced to death might live out the rest of his life going through all those appeals they get.

well, I have to disagree with that. killing a killer wouldn't solve anything, even if they deserve it. Not saying they don't deserve punnishment, but executing them would be hypocrisy.

True, it would be. However, we are surrounded by hypocrisy, and I think it's slightly different to take the life of a [presumably] innocent person than to take that of a murderer. In my opinion, killing a murderer is justified hypocrisy.

There is nothing more hypocritical than the death sentence. We live in a civilized world, not the middle ages.

This is such a sad thing that happened, I don't know how a sick man could do this, it's not right. Really makes me hate humanity. I hope the families are coping, this is horrible.

Buffy, I'm so sorry that happened! I hope you're all okay about it. >.<

Yes this very sad, and terrorism doesn't know any borders.
But I can't stop thinking about this: aren't those people firstly mad and wouldn't need help, so they could go in the right way? Instead of letting these people boiling in their madness, why not at least try to help them?

Do you seriously think an entire nation who just lost a bunch of their children would be willing to help the crazy man who did this?
