I know this is long overdue, but I have given up drawing for an indefinite amount of time. I just do not see the point in continuing when I never actually improve. It doesn't help that I don't have the proper tools to make decent art either (i.e. Photoshop, a tablet, etc) So adios.
I will be keeping my gallery up for the nostalgia but will update it no further. |

I'm sorry if I've been neglecting my fan art for so long... I hope no one thinks I died  I've just been so freaking busy with stuff in my life lately, and it gets harder and harder to find time to practice drawing =/
I also no longer have photoshop (long story), so that obviously makes things a lot harder in terms of uploading good fan art D:
Rest assured though, I have been compiling a small pile of doodles during my long absence - mostly stuff I drew in my school notebooks and stuff lol. I will upload these pics as soon as I can, in color hopefully. Which brings me to my final point....
I GOT A NEW SCANNER!! X3 It's actually a printer and scanner built in one, and it works really great! So I no longer have any reason to not upload stuff from now on lol

First of all, congratulations to the winner of the Halloween Treat thing I held yesterday over who could guess my trick-or-treating costume. After 8 guesses by members from both MLKFAA and TLKFAA, only two people were able to correctly guess what I dressed up as on Halloween (in case you're wondering, I was the Grim Reaper  )

On a semi-related note, I will no longer be able to produce digital art, at least not for two months or so. The reasons for this are kind of personal  Anyway, this means that from now till like Christmas, the only type of stuff I can upload will be traditional, if I even have time for that. This also means no further requests, trades, etc till I get myself a computer that actually has Photoshop. >.>
Lastly, I am aware that I still owe many of you a ton of trades and other crap, most overdue of which are Miko, KK, and LT. I'm really sorry about these, and I promise to get to them as soon as I can lol.

Doing anything special this Halloween? Whether you plan to go trick-or-treating, watch a scary movie, or hang out with friends, you might not want to miss out on this very special offer! Holy crap when was the last time I made a journal entry??!!?!
Anyway I decided to make this to-do list because I have a lot of fanart that needs to get done and a lot of deadlines to meet, so I thought this would make things easier for me. I'm arranging them in the order that I am most likely to get them done but I could switch pics around at a moments notice. I'll be updating this list often so check back when you can. Once each item is completed, it will be crossed off.
Oh, and I'm abbreviating a lot of their titles because I don't want to ruin the surprise. ^^

| Just a quick update to let you know that the computer problems I mentioned in my last journal post are all fixed now. The virus is gone, everything is safe, and Photoshop is up and running again, meaning I can start making more digital art now. W00T! =D |
The minute I get back to school and this happens...
My computer got infected by a virus yesterday. Everything's working incredibly slowly, including my internet, which explains why I haven't been on much lately. Thankfully all my files work fine, however, for some reason Photoshop refuses to open. Over the weekend I'm getting my computer disinfected and I'll have to install Photoshop all over again. So it won't be another week or two till you see new art in my gallery...
The good news is, I can still upload sketches and stuff so I'll try to upload that instead. |
The worst thing just happened. Today I tried to open my Fura fanart pic that I had been working on for the past three weeks and it wouldn't open. An error message popped up and then the whole thing shut down. I tried to open it again but the same thing happened. Then I realized that all the pics that I'd stored in that folder refused to open as well. It was like some sort of virus thing had spread to all my photoshop documents and none of them worked anymore. I tried hundreds of times to retrieve the documents and even tried opening them in my dad's laptop, but nothing worked. So in the end I just gave up and deleted everything.
Now I have to start over and redo about 5 fanarts, each of which took me a really long time and were probably some of my best fanart pictures ever so far. I really have no idea what happened to them, but photoshop is working fine now. The bottom line is, it's going to be a really long time till you see something being submitted by me to the MLKFAA because I have to painstakingly redraw and color them all over again. I feel really sad and don't feel in the mood to talk to anyone.
So KK and Zeke, those RP pictures are going to take a lot longer than I'd hoped to complete  |
Heyyyyyy it's me again. Now that I'm finally finished with that Nala+Mheetu pic, I've decided to change the types of fanarts I'll draw a little. For the next few weeks (or however long it'll take) I'll be illustrating scenes from one of the best RP's of all time: my, Zeke's, and KK's Private RP. I'm really loving this RP and I just have to share the story with you guys. The scenes I'll be drawing will be random parts of the RP as I imagined them to look like. So a very special thanks goes to KK and Zeke for helping make the best RP ever!
Rest assured though, I'll still draw other things from time to time, but I'll mostly be focused on illustrating this RP before I move on to anything else.
P.S. I might also attempt some of my original characters like King Dubwana, Amanda, Semira, Shemba, and Fura. |

I know he's Nala's little brother and he's darkish brown, but that's about all I know about him. Can you guys please help me out by finding as many Mheetu fanarts as you can and post them here? I'm really proud of it though. If I could favorite myself, I would! It's a picture of cub Simba's first night in Timon and Pumbaa's jungle. He's feeling really guilty because he feels like he's turning his back on everyone, including his father. There are several things I want to point out in this pic (yes, I officially do not have a life haha):
- Notice the scratch mark on the tree ^^? That took me a while.
- Several plants here don't exist in Africa. Notice the leaves on the really big blue one? Those are from Hawaii!
- Yes that's algae on the tree.
- There's supposed to be a Mickey Mouse constellation in the sky, but I dunno if you can see it. It's next to Mufasa's mane...
- A lot of people have been asking me what some of the plants are. Come on people, I'm being creative here! Most of these plants don't even exist! Seriously, have you ever seen a flower attached to a spotted coconut???

Hello again!
I just finished the Simba and Me fanart and I can't say I'm not proud of myself. That picture took me only 5 days to make, a new record, and it turned out beautifully. The only problem was the quality got a little ruined when I compressed it to a JPEG file, but I did the best I could to fix it. Hope you guys like it.
The bad news is, that fanart sort of distracted me from doing the Simba & Mufasa fanart which I should have been working on instead. Rest assured though, from now on I'll keep fully focused on completing that fanart before side-tracking to any other.
I'm still deciding whether to use my other two ideas in fanarts. It'll be tough, but I need to finish that annoying S&M one before I start thinking about any other projects.
In the meantime, I'll be uploading my favorite little sketches and doodles I made from months ago to keep you guys busy while I slave away at my fanarts. First I gotta find my digital camera though...

My Simba & Mufasa Fanart is taking a lot longer than I expected. I've done most of the main parts of the picture, and now I'm working on the background, which is driving me crazy. Backgrounds are impossible to make, especially jungle scenes (Whoops I've said to much! -Scar). Ugh, looks like I'll have to postpone it a bit. >_<
On a brighter note, I recently discovered two really well-drawn Simba pictures. I'm thinking of uploading them soon before my Album gathers dust lol.
I've also come up with three possible new fanart ideas. One will be of me and Simba (yes, me!), one will be of Nala and Sarafina, and one will be of Nala and Mheetu. I don't know how long they'll take, but so far I've got a rough idea of what they'll look like. I'll have to complete my S&M fanart first before I start on these projects though.
