Oh cool ! :D Thats awesome, we don't get presents here on Christmas xD we have our own stuff even thought we are Christians haha xD We have something called "Sinterklaas" in december, and we get presents for that, it was a old Catholic who gave presents to children on his birthday ! :P I just have something christmas themed in mind lol, i really can't think of anything since i have never done a collab before , ( i know how to dw xD ) You think of anything ? :P

I personally work with 2560x1400 - 4512x1920 || 4x3 - 21x9 ratio setting. wallpaperish size.
I may adjust it a bit to a 16x10 or 16x9 ratio, if needed, ^^
May latest pic was 2560x1600. I am on a 1280x800 screen personally, so I work at this size since it is comfortable with the screen size for me, and it doesn't do much of any reverse aliasing on me. (a resizing issue when you take something at a huge res and scale it down to a smaller with bilinear/bubic nearest)
But bottom line it is up to you to start the base size, cause I do still gotta get a few other Christmas things done by the 23rd, tomorrow, we do it 24th rather than the 25th. busy that day.
And a transparent background would be best, and a psd file of it even better, each char their own layer, or layer set, whichever is your fancy, ^^

And not at all, would rather everything get asked and straightened out up front than have to come back later, ^^

I'll just send you a transparent image of 4500x3500, and you can cut it up or re-size the OCs for yours to fit, i will try to save it in a psd but i am afraid if it does not work i will have to save it in a PNG, ;-; Well actually, thats kind of a problem, i will be busy on the 24th xD I'm just really busy on that day we have a lot of stuff going on ;0; Maybe we will have to change the theme if we can't get it done on time ! ;-; New year will be busy too, maybe we have to change it into a simple collab because of this ? Since she left EBC, this was a couple years ago. I'm not exact on this.
She's been very inactive.
I honestly do not have an answer to that.
Before her leaving EBC she was very active... well one-three pics a months with semi-reg updates on here and dA.
I think... she may do some stuff on Tumblr, but not really anything art related as far as I can tell anymore?

There might be some held in the forums? But I don't use the forums too much. So I really am unsure with that.
Typically to join one, simply go by the contests rules, make an entry and submit it, comment with a link to the submission you have made, and that would roughly be it.

If you're referring to the speed paints, they are heavily sped up from a raw recording, which is what gives them the title of speed paint.
my latest pic/collab that is.
took icudo and myself 13 hours to get that done together, 7 hours for me, 6 for her. spread out throughout the course of a month or more working on it when we could.
the speed paint with that collab pic is around 35 minutes, roughly 19-21x the original speed.
the black character in the pic, i coloured, took two hours for me to colour him, but that is partially since the res is much higher than i typically work with, almost twice what i'm used to, lol

i average from 2 hours to 6 hours on an image, the bigger, more complex the image, the more time it takes
a way to speed it along some digitally is to use the colour you want to have as a pelt colour, make a thick lining of the said colour inside your line art, and make sure you have no gaps in the colour lining, and simply hit the middle of that with a bucket tool, and then if needed, clean up the rough edges
i use photoshop 7.0 (2002 version) as my art app, icu uses clip studio
if you're looking for a 100% free app, gimp and kritia are pretty good, kritia is certainly better though

If you need a good virus Protection that isn't overwatch on everything, try out 360 Total Security, it's what I use personally, and it works rather well.
It'll prompt about viruses or things it could think are viruses, but it'll let you decide whether it is or not.
And a little tip for ya: viruses tend to infect files, but the virus can be removed from the file with VP. I've never known a virus to infect a picture, but ehh, ya never know.
And not gonna, I've completely forgotten about that *facepalm
Plus I think I did download it to my file, will have to see if I still have it.
Sucks that you got a virus on your PC.
Personally, I would like to keep my word to it, but I've forgotten what my half was to do, life and other things come so often, so hard to remember it all.
My friend Sarah tells me all about her stories and such, so that does part of it, then I got my own that co-inside with hers, so that complicated to keep smooth going, been waaay too long since I last touched that though, oops.

Been trying my hand at css2/css3. Made a dark theme for the FAA here actually. Has a couple quirks that still need attention, but they require Javascript, another thing I'm trying to learn. XD
I got a link to the dark theme at the top of my page, XD
It requires a plugin called Stylish at the time. Since well, it isn't done, but is functional.
Gots other stuff, but irl hoopla, notably back issues are flaring up with me, really annoying they are.
Other things too, but these are gonna be a surprise when I get them finished.

First off, what's the extension on the file. mp4, avi, mts, mkv, ogv, pss, etc?

I know Wondershare Editor can edit mts, but it will only speed up up to 2x or 4x?
I myself use WindowsMovieMaker 12 on Windows 7 Ult. SP1 64-bit. It you can literally type in how much you want to speed it up and save in 60fps. I use it for all of my videos personally.
What OS does the Surface4 run?
If it is Windows 7 or higher. I would suggest WinMovieMaker12.
There is also VideoPadEditor, but I am rather clueless on how to use it and even export videos from it. It's like a mix of Final Cut Pro and Sony Vegas.

The info ya can give will help out more and more what I could suggest. Also Happy Late Christmas, forgot to tell ya yesterday.

Next to the save file button is the export video file button, thats what i used to make it so i could upload the video to youtube.

Do think it should have a more consistent fps though... Video Pad might do what Final Cut Pro X does. It will save the video in its import fps, not custom. Why I use Windows Movie Maker 12.

OS is Operating System.
Do you use Windows 7, 8, 10? Or Linux (doubt Linux since you gotta know stuff about PC's to even do anything, XD)

What program are you running to draw in? Photoshop, Krita, Gimp, Paint ToolSAI, etc?
I would recommend Movie Maker 12 with the Windows Live bundle pack, but you can choose what to install. It gives a lot of options. More optimized for sure, and you can custom nearly everyaspect of saving... to the one drawback of only 16x9 or 4x3. I like doing KH2FM stuff in 21x9 but have to save vids with annoying back bars.

Im having to record using Xbox's record app, then pull it up in VideoPad editor and mess with it there, i had music playing in the recording but when i speed up the video, i couldnt igure out how to stop the audio from being sped up to, so i just had to mute it.

Did not know you could draw with the XboxOne? Or is that a bundle thing with Win 10?
I myself am using Win 7.
You gotta add in additional music files for that. I use Bandicam Pro for screen recording, and tell it not to record audio all together.

its a cheat thing, the recording is supposed to be for gaming in the xbox app but you can get it to work outside of the app also.

For some reason I wasn't able to reply to your comment on my journal entry. But I'll try again here.

My site is completely free to join and upload to. Any feline related art is definitely allowed.

As for my server, I use an old computer running a clean install of Window XP Pro. I have Apache server installed to run my website(s).

I briefly experimented with Linux based servers, but they all required more resources than this old computer had. Running your own server is definitely the cost executive way to host a website. I only pay for the domain name(tlkfanart.com) from GoDaddy.com.

Umm, how memory does your server have?
Or is it cloud-based for storing site files?

I use a Win XP Pro Sp2 desktop and a Win 7 Sp1 laptop, I got them using smb to the other to use files across the other.
Even got phones and consoles into the loop. XD

I'll have to look that up, Apache. My only issue/question is memory store-location.

I'm learning a whole mix of programing languages/all self-taught due to not being able to school for several reasons.
MIPS, CSS, java, html, bbcode, ASM, php, etc

Linux to me="fried brain"
I do not like manually adding registry entries
Had to do it once with my win7 pc that BSOD during an update.
16 hours later I got it to boot.

That is so cool that you're learning all those languages! My website is built using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. All of which (except JavaScript) where self taught. Programming can be a lot of fun and very rewarding. It gives you a much better sense of how computers work.

My server currently only has 1 GB of memory, but as the site grows I will most likely need to upgrade that.

I have used Linux a few times for personal use. I have found that I like openSUSE the best. I do agree that manually adding registry entries can be a pain, but it opens you up for a higher level of control of your system.

Exactly, it's why I do modding, to see how games work.
I got a whole channel on YouTube, loaded with KH2FM hacking and modding, if you're interested.

You'll need to upgrade that, XD I think that'll last a month or two.

Though know how to add registry in Windows is kinda the samething as Linux, because you are doing the samething.
I do like Linux for using far less power to operate then Windows or Mac, though at times, it can get rather unstable. It's what a PS2's OS is actually, it's not that stable.
I think the biggest hardship in programing is the DMA stuff.

I like to keep my account names under the same name. I had to change my e-mail and everything cuz my e-mail got hacked. I then read that someone from Russia hacked over billion Facebook account, Twitter, Gmail, etc account. Stealing passwords, info, etc.
I logged into my Gmail, and noticed a lot of stuff was changed, and dumped. mainly my Youtube account, where I had 60+ videos. Then I got a message from Google about a massive hacking outbreak. So, I changed my stuff, and altered my name a tad, to closer match my XBL name.
Hope this explains it. XD

I know the feeling... sucks, but I'm being homeschooled. My oldest bro has been going out a lot lately and I've been stuck pulling his weight for the last month. My only real freetime to draw now is late at night.
I normally would divide that time to playing KH2FM, Dissidia, and drawing. but he recently killed my PS2, so KH2FM isn't in the list, and he put the Ouya, where I play Dissidia, in his room, which is also mine. I spent nights in the living room. Cuz I'm always up late, babysitting anyway. Autistic sis.

Hey Times, don't worry. I won't drink again for a long time! And My hangover wasn't all that bad. Now that I think about it, it may have just been a headache I got from crashing into my bro new bro in law at the go kart track. (it was bad! lol. but he's ok.....i think) but I won't drink again for a while anyways. Its just since I was the youngest and I'm the best man, it's basically required for a bachelor party. I got to drive my mom's car for a first, when I've had one driving lesson. Though I driving it to get it close to the house so I could cimlb onto the roof and fix a patch-job. Yup, I got like 4 classes. But here they are 1 hr 25 min a class. Art is like 2. 5 hrs. Which I don't complain. More art time. But lately we've been doing music related stuff. Like all the famous composers. We just passed Beethoven. Not complain there either. We got make our own instruments. Made a trumpet out of PBC pipe. It sounds awful. XD Got a 90 though. lol Curious as to what he's gonna do next. And everyone is still working on that perspective pose. Done! Got an 85 I think. But I may try it again, just cuz I can. That would make a nice contest too. But I already got two going now. So, maybe later. Or someone else could do it.
And with my comments. There aren't any. "You can't even see the cake behind all of the jelly beans!"

This has nothing to do with this, but iheart recommend the band Decyfer Down, and they are fantastic! If you like Skillet, or 12 Stones, you'll love them! I can't get over how this guy's voice sounds! It's gritty, yet clear and passionate. And it is identical from live to studio. Especially the song Best I Can. Yeah I left real quick and when I came back it shut off and then popped up a screen that said there was no backup disk and then it just turned off and won't turn back on! It may be asking for the disc to install the OS. Or a recovery disc? I normally puttheOSdiscin, and it repairs something. Then I reboot, and it is running fine. Cannot garuntee it'll work. But it's worth a try. But you can easily mess it up worse. So best know what you're doing.
And I'm cool with traditional too!

If you're school/library has the same OS as you, you should ask them if they got a recovery disc.
And here's a tip, if ya want traditional pics to have shading. Use a pencil/ graphite basically. Add your shading before you colour the pic, and it'll give you the shading. But don't push very hard.

I was working on a trade last night and just colored lightly and built up the colors and shades with the base color it looked pretty good but I dunno how it's going to scan...

Welp, if you got a good scanner, it should look like these examples | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
Well, then you should check library or a friend and see. And another tip: When I scan an image. I normally take it PS to up the contrast, and minorly change the hue on. "Auto Contrast", "Variations", lower the strength of the variations. Darken or lighten 1-2 times, click blue twice, then cyan once. Then I get the images you see.

Actually im putting that pic with all my characters on hold for the moment. Oh and would you like to join me and hazel999's group. Its called The Minery Shadow Clan. If you want to all you have to do is design a Minery Cheetah and pick an element and rank. In case your not sure of what a Minery looks like; they are short cats that have a split fur pattern, one half is one color and the other half is another color. Example: my character Crowface, and they can be mixed/breeded with any other type of wild cat. I would love for you to join friend. If not its okay, I'll understand completely. :-)

It really makes the character look much more realistic with depth, yet it keeps the cartooniness. This is an example btw; Merrie Ref This is my personal opinion though...

More or less that. But I was thinking we drew the other person's character: here's an example: Juanra and Saffir. I drew louli's Saffir, the right one, and she drew my Juanra as a tiger, the left. That's kinda how they work. I've done a couple more, but they're mixed in my gallery.

Most of them are animal/human. But a couple of them are just the other. But Xoldren is like a gargoyle like thing. Though I plan on changing them up some. I've been working how all of their powers behave to the other. Though designs in general would help me out a lot. Like with one of the main characters, Avita. As human I picture her with blonde hair, and really looking like a shamon, cuz that's her rank. But at the sametime she doesn't look like one. She's basically got all of the necessary stuff, but where's in a way it doesn't appear to be shamon. Doubt that makes much sense. ^^'
I could give ya access to it if you'd like? That way it would be easier to work on it.
Let me know if you wanna help out with the actual site, and I'll see what I can do.

I actually saw the Trace on on Google. I searched your name with Trace after it, and it was one of the first things to pop up, but there was also some creepy stuff as well. Not your art is what I mean. I was like," Yes!" and I downloaded it. I'm thing about getting a Flickr, but I gotta clear it with my mom first. And about deviantART... I would have to have my own place or not be living in this house before that would happen, sorry. It really ticks me off as well.

I got hacked. :/ ProjectContinuation is dead now cuz I had complete control there. I just found this out earlier today when I finally managed to long one to discover I'm deactivated on DA. Oops! Though it wasn't for my personal art, just a free wallpaper! That was all, and I did include the art/copyrights, and the other stuff in the description. Oh well, I'll live if it was removed. But why isn't the TLK images allowed?

Because it isn't considered as art and that it's not your own art, but you are allowed TLK Screencaps in graphics. ;) Possibly you could add the wallpaper to the Graphics forum, and add the credits and such to the respected artists. ^^

Not really, I mostly use some off brand from DG, and some Crayola, but other than that, it's just standard colored pencils. And thanks a lot! I try my best with them! I got a ton more pic on DA! Here's a link: http://www.1timestones.deviantart.com

I did not know anything was removed. But, I see what was removed. I forgot the rules, so I refreshed myself.:) I only saw 1 thing removed though. What was the other thing?
