| Whoohoo! I finally got my tablet....i'll draw something for saaaay New Year's? I think it'll be lovely fun. I need the practice anyway ^^ |
| Sorry I'm late buuuut...no internet, no logging on. After a recent let down of finding out that the order for my brand-new Wacom bamboo tablet was cancelled, which ticked me off btw, I reordered it and it should be here....tomorrow. After that......ooh hoo will you guys get upload dumped. No more off-colored uploads from me....I'm going digital! |
| I was going to......but I didn't. I guess I got bored, or my procrastination's kicking in.....what ever it is.....I haven't really felt like drawing anything. Hope everyone enjoys thier Christmas. |
| Well today I got a brand new box of oil pastels and sketch pencils, and for Christmas (oh how far it seems) I will be buying myself (my parents hand my sister and I 100$ Visa gift cards and say have fun) a Wacom Bamboo tablet! *squees* Oh how i've wanted one of those puppies....soooo...I'll be experimenting with both the sketch pencils, the oil pastels, and when i get it, the tablet......not that I've never used sketch pencils, mechanical are just more commonly found in my hand.....particularly Papermate Clearpoints. I've also used pastels, just not on my artwork....only in art classes....where we were forced to color, blend, and shade a certain way....bleh! i hate being told how to draw, or shade....which is why I refuse to take art classes....our art teachers will not let you draw in an anime-ish style....which is typical of me..... Art teacher: REALISM! REALISM! REALISM! >O not my thing really....plus a sketch due every Tuesday? It takes me days to be inspired to draw anything, and anywhere from 6 hours to 4 days to draw anything worth the paper it's on >> "Quick sketches" are anything under four hours......I'm waaaaay to OCD perfectionist on my drawings......even my best work, an interpretation I did of Hades, Greek God of the underworld, I can still find things to fix and/or erase *exasperated look* four days to draw him and i can still find things wrong....that's horrible. |
| Over the last week, i have drawn two more pictures of Aria, created three African Wild Dog characters, Kamau and Tukuli, two brothers, and an older male they travel with named Odissan. I also managed to realize that Yuki, my little steenbok I adore, does not fit well into the Disney-style of TLK or in his case, Bambi....so he will always be drawn in my style. Also, the first uploads of the A.W.D characters will also be in my style. *sigh* I don't know why I got this sudden kick of creating and drawing, but I did.....oh well *shrugs* |

Well, I'm a traditional artist of 11 years and TLK has always been my favorite Disney movie, to give you an idea, a person in my Computer Game Programming class just said Hakuna Matata and I start humming it....out loud. I'm a little bit of a dork, obsessed with the Amur leopard and fun-loving. I'm also an motormouth >> TLK-style is my latest style to try to be able to draw but alas with my realistic and/or manga-style already, some of the little nuisances of TLK are a bit foreign to me. I love people who are nice and I'm all to willing to return the kindness. Most of my pictures i upload will have a blue or yellowish tint because of my lack of scanner....therefore i use my phone's camera and it has a rather annoying flash. i don't color often, but i am rather proud of my shading, even if I'm none-too-proud of the drawing its on. 
The Demyx avvie is temporary, but resembles me nonetheless. I'll create my fursona at a later date.
