History
As a cub, Aphrodite was originally named Mbaya, which means "ugly", by her hateful father, Korodu, who had wanted a son. She was often teased because of her name. So, Aphrodite was determined to change her image as the "ugly" cub. Mbaya re-named herself Aphrodite, an exotic word that she knew meant "beautiful". In her teen years, Aphrodite grew to be very responsible, as Aphrodite was the oldest of her sisters, so she often hunted and babysat for her family. Aphrodite was very attractive, and by now had certainly proven her worthiness for her name, because Aphrodite's beauty made her a very desirable mate. However, she turned almost all males down, until she met Aibu, a handsome rogue lion with a dark mane and pelt. When Aphrodite was a young adult, her father, Korodu died, leaving her the crown for queen. As queen, Aphrodite was not only responsible for her own son Usiku, which means "night", but also her younger sisters, Hashiki, Anga, and Halaya, who were only adolecents, along with the rest of the pride.
