Mortolo is the main antagonist in the German Lion King comic Dry Season. He leads a group of apes that attempts to take control of the Pride Lands by creating a drought, forcing Mufasa and the pride to leave the Pride Lands. Fortunately, young Simba was investigating the drought and found that they were building a dam to hold back the river that flowed into the Pride Lands. He starts a rock slide that breaks the dam and chases the apes away.
