The Flying Lion is a comic inspired by The Lion King.

Plot

A sudden storm comes up in the Pride Lands and Simba and Nala seek shelter in a cave. When the raining finally stops, the cubs walk along the river and Nala comments on how beautiful birds are and how cool it is they can fly. Simba says that it wouldn't be so hard to fly.

When Zazu overhears him, he laughs. A flying lion? How absurd. Simba says he only needs wings to fly, and he starts gathering twigs and leaves.

Simba holds some large bunches of leafy branches in his mouth and waits for a strong gust of wind while standing on a low cliff. He leaps into the air, but only stays aloft for a short time before landing into the waterhole the cliff was overlooking. Nala and Zazu both laugh at him as he comes out of the water, still angry, but determined to try to fly again.

After that, Simba jumps into a tree to avoid being captured by hyenas. When Zazu sees him hanging in the tree asking for help, he teases him by saying, "Why not just fly?" Zazu then gets some of his friends to lift Simba into the air and plops him down next to Nala.

He teases her saying, "Flying is hard, but you soon get the hang of it!"
