Finally landed on Duna. There's just one little problem with this:
My center of mass was just a little bit too high, and I landed on the side of a hill. That's bad, mkay.

So, I walk downstairs at about 8:30 and wonder where my family is. Seeing that they are not here, I decide to make myself some ice cream and watch TV. About a half an hour later they come back telling me its time to eat steak. Who leaves for half the day then comes back saying you want to eat steak at 9 at night??

Wow. I didn't see that before. You're right. xD
Eh, maybe I can send a rescue ship out to get him. But it'll take me a few more months to practice my celestial navigation skills, as well as my landing craft construction skills.
I've tried another method, using wheels as landing gear so that I can do it like a plane, but I've had troubles with that, too.
