True. I like Kovu's character, but to say a fictional character is hot is just...strange. Strange actually doesn't even describe it well enough. See, I have no problem with calling a fictional character cute, as I may commonly do, but to call one hot?

That's a little overboard. It seems a little too obsessive to me, almost! Especially for a lion, though. In real life, I think lions are beautiful animals, but I've never been attracted to one, obviously, not a cartoon one either.

Ok I have to admit, for a cartoon lioness Nala's design looks pretty ''pretty'' but that's it though, nothing more.

And I can't disagree, it is rather somewhat weird and disturbing to have a deep crush on a fictional cartoon character.

Yeah, you're right. Again though, to say a fictional character is pretty is different than saying one is hot. To say one is hot would mean that you're sexually attracted to them, to say one is pretty would mean that you just think they look nice. Let's use Nala, for example, like you said:

Her eyes - whether they be green or blue - are pretty. Some fictional characters may have pretty eyes in my opinion, because of the notable color, like Nala's. Another reason for me would probably be because they look sort of like my mother's.

On the other end of things, I know a few people who had have crushes on fictional characters before. That doesn't disturb me, but to be sexually attracted to them (like I said above) and simply like them because of that, is strange..

Sadly, I know a looot of things that put characters in simply for that purpose stated above.

I think his voice is hot. Other than that, I guess it's because he has that so-called bad boy vibe that makes people like him

Also, I do believe Kovu is aesthetically attractive. His features and form, although a little slim maybe, are built well, and quite a robust jawline too. And as Chizuna pointed out, his voice is definitely ear-candy. ^^

I do think he's a bit attractive but not truly hot. I leave this term for Scar XDD . No, seriously.

But he has an awesome voice, and I like his looks. So, who knows... X) Maybe someday I'll start believing that he's truly hot, but for now... just a bit attractive and 100% cuddly ^^

It's only strange if you look too much into it. Even though they're fictional characters, they're designed to be appealing to the audience. Kovu is supposed to have an element of hotness to his character, just like all the other main Disney characters are attractive.

Mulan? Cinderella? Pocahontas? Jasmine? Aladdin? Prince Charming? John Smith? Notice the pattern here. They're all drawn to be visually appealing. The better question is, why wouldn't Disney characters be drawn with attractive features, just because they're anthropomorphic lions?

That being said, I don't personally find Kovu to be attractive. I can see why someone would think he's hot, but I'm not that person.

If that's the case, then people would have to be more specific before posting their thoughts or opinions. That's my outlook on the term usage, though other people may view it differently, that's how I view it. As I grew up, that's how I determined the difference between the words.
