Just a question, but at the end of SP Kovu and Kiara kinda "marry" :disgust:

does that make Kovu the lion king, or is he just the prince because Kiara is the queen?
(I'm from Holland, strange monarchic laws here, so I was wondering)

Yeah, they marry, but they will become king and queen when Simba retires or dies.

No, Kiara will be Queen and Kovu will be Prince Consort, because Kiara is the one carrying the royal bloodline, so she's the main one. If Kovu was named King, he'd be the one with the most power, because traditionally (in all places I've heard of anyway) a King is more powerful than a Queen, by title.
Think of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

I don't know much about monarchy, but im pretty sure it's how you said it. Kovu doesn't become king until Simba retires or dies. However if he went scar on everyone, killed Kiara, and took the throne he wouldn't be king anymore xD

I assume that Kovu and Kiara will be King and Queen. Iunno if that's how it's supposed to work, but I don't think Kiara would have a problem with it lol
