Scar's location on Pride Rock

At the beginning of the movie, during the "life isn't fair, isn't it?" scene, and during the "It's our little secret" scene, you see Scar at a particular cliff/den near/next to/on Pride Rock. I tried to locate this place (where on Pride Rock is that little cliff/den of Scar?) but I never found out. Theories, anyone?

I believe it’s at the back of Pride Rock. I seem to recall that it says something about it in the TLK book (or on the audio tape.) I’m not sure though.

maybe, but remember when Kiara escapes to find Kovu? I didn't see any den back there behind pride rock...

Hmm... good point. I've always thought of it being in the back for some reason.

Mufasa is walking away from the small den that Scar was in, and walking towards Pride Rock.

So there's a huge rock in front of Pride Rock? That's funny, because I always thought the area around Pride Rock was open, with just a few trees.

Nice observation Moka. However, something else still confuses me.

In this pic, Scar is in a completely different den! Does he have two homes? It's most likely a part of Pride Rock since it's obviously very high up (you can see the tops of trees at the bottom of this pic).

Yeah, that makes no sense! Or it's in another location, that would be possible.

Haha if Simba falls off the edge, it would take him 20 years to hit the bottom! xD
I guess Scar doesn't really have a fixed home... he just roams around Pride Rock sulking by himself. :\ Unless the first den is his real home, and the second one's kind of his place to be by himself.

I figure the first place we see him is where he typically is when he wants to avoid the pride. then when we see him with Simba, he seems to just trying to find a suitable place to lay down and nap lol. lions do tend to nap in random places in their territory.
