what song are you practising with your instrument atm?

what song are you practising with your instrument atm?

Postby thanigraphics » October 11th, 2009, 1:46 pm

I play flute, and I'm practising "Over my shoulder" by Mika at the moment. Not very difficult, but I like to make another melody fitting with the original melody and play it along with the track.

Oh, wow. I play the flute and I'm trying to see if I can still play the piano for the first time in about four or five years. That being said, I generally practice in waves. My last wave was:

Nightwish
  • "Amaranth"

Andrew Lloyd Webber
  • "The Phantom of the Opera"

Coldplay
  • "Lovers in Japan"
  • "Viva La Vida"
  • "A Message"
  • "Fix You"

Snow Patrol
  • "Chasing Cars"

Nobuo Uematsu
  • "The Landing"
  • "Ride On"
  • "Eyes on Me"
  • "Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII"
  • "Final Fantasy VII Staff Roll/Main Theme of Final Fantasy"

I was in the practice room for a good two-and-a-half hours.

well, I take lessons so I have to do stuff in the book and pieces I'm given. plus practice for the Christmas recital began in like August lol. and then I'm recording all the Christmas songs I know for my family's Christmas presents :) oh, and as to the massive list of Christian songs on the guitar, my teacher assigned me one of those songs and I decided to see how many more I could play lol. and Auld Lang Syne is that New Year's song.

I usually just warm up with one of my old songs I wrote, and then go into working out a new song. Then when I'm done with all that, I just play random things, and sometimes looks for tabs of songs I like, and work that song out.

I don't play an instrument, but if I did, it would be either a piano or a flute and the song would be we are one and king of pride rock. ^_^ I think I'll go learn piano, but I'm not sure...
