Another interesting thought crossed my mind, and one that I would like Woeler to address. Not in a debate, but as a straight up answer:
Woeler is very proud how in his Netherlands, the elections are direct - your vote actually goes to determining who the winner is. Here in the U.S. we vote, but it goes to the electoral college - and election after election, the losing side always complains. Take this one for example: Under a "people's government", Romney would have won, because he has the popular vote. But at the same time, I know Woeler is one of the biggest Obama supporters in the world, so as soon as he will find out, he will be extremely grateful for the electoral college.
So Woeler: Do you like the electoral college, hate it (so that our elections will more closely match your own), or does your opinion sway with the winning presidential race (hate it during 2000, love it now)?
And not to exclude others, I find this question rather interesting to see people's opinions on: Do you guys like or hate the electoral college system we have. And I strongly encourage you to ignore the election results when stating your opinion.
