Ice smiled. "Amy, this wasn't your fault. It was Steele's. Obviously, he hasn't changed at all," she said.

Amy didn't feel any better about what had happened to her sister and Balto once they made it back to the house Jenna was panicking.

"Amy what happened is Ice alright and what about you Balto are you okay?" Jenna was getting really worried not knowing what to do to help everyone.

Balto shook his head as he stepped forward. "Steele came after Amy and Ice tried to defend her. Steele attacked her and then came after me. A human with a rifle scared Steele off," he said.

Amy and Jenna helped Ice to her bed gently laying her down making sure that she was comfortable. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Amy asked looking at Balto.

Kalu had managed to get up and limped his way to Balto and Jenna's home making it to the door leaning up against the door frame, "I don't think Steele will be a problem for a while I saw him running into the forrest."

Balto looked at Amy. "Just stay here and keep her company," he said before turning to Kalu. "Thank you, Kalu, for everything that you've done for us and put up with," he said.

Kalu smiled and nodded his head looking at the others "You guys take care okay with Steele gone I'm not needed for now I'm guessing but I'll be back I won't miss seeing those little pups of yours Jenna." Kalu smiled before limping out the door.

Jenna's tail wagged back and forth as Kalu limped off the porch as she ran to the door "Thank you for everything Kalu!" she yelled before looking back at Balto "Well my love we are safe and so is our family."

Balto smiled proudly. "Yes, I look forward to seeing them," he said. Ice nodded from her bed. "Jenna, I want to take this moment to apologize for every time that I picked on you when we were pups," she said.

Jenna smiled at Ice and layed down next to her sister joined by Amy "Don't appologize Ice I've always known that you cared about me and Amy you might have hurt us with your words sometimes bit deep down we always knew the truth." Jenna chuckled.

Ice laughed. "And when I got too mean, Mom and Dad would come and discipline me," she said. She began to think of their parents. "You know, Jenna, you, Amy and I are the daughters of two great sled dogs, and yet none of us became sled dogs," she said.

Jenna and Amy smiled and laughed at each other "True but we both fell in love with sled dogs and we know that you'll find the right guy to be your mate Ice he'll probably be a pro sled dog too." Jenna and Amy giggled their tails wagging.
