*hops in* Hope you don't mind me intruding. I've a Zira question:
what do you think are the chances that Zira survived? I think it's very possible; yes, that fall could have killed her. But there was also a chance that she didn't hit anything hard enough to die. There was a lot of water, so I think she could have just as easily survived. But I want all opinions and I don't want to spam the boards with my questions. *started a thread asking a question already*

I wouldn't think this is a bother. Zira most likely DID survive because it was just rapids...Unless she hit a rock or something while she flowed down the river. I think thats the reason she let go, because she knew she wouldn't die.

Well, from what I've read, she originally committed suicide. There's even a clip of her purposly letting go of the rock. She was smiling because she believed she would see Scar again.
But whether she knew or not, I still think she may have survived. It's like a 50/50 chance; she could have died by drowing or hitting her head on one of the rocks, but she could lived just as easily.
I doubt we'll ever know as a fact, but it's fun to speculate. =)
