You are directing a TLK 2 remake
1. Explain Zira's relationship with Scar in more detail. I like the idea that she was insane.

2. Explain why Simba is a grouch. Yes, parenthood changes people but a line or two to explain that would have been nice.

3. More Vitani.

4. Less Timon and Pumbaa. Sorry, but I really dislike them.
I agree with this. Especially point 2. For the most part, I liked the movie the way it is. I did, however dislike what happened to Simba. In the first movie, he was so likeable and laid back, and, IMO he was less likeable in the second film, mainly because he was so strict and there was no explanation given as to why.

If I was directing it, I would also make the romance a sub plot, in spite of how much I like Romeo & Juliette, because I personally think that every story, and therefore, every movie, should be deeper than that. The movie should have been more focused on the conflict between the Pridelanders and the Outlanders.

I would also explain exactly why the Outlanders were banished. Yes, we can assume that they were loyal to Scar, but the details are still sketchy as to what actually happened. Did Zira try to assassinate Simba or something? What did they do? If I were directing, that question would be answered.

I have to echo what Juliette said, your 2nd point was particularly interesting. Like at least with the other stuff like Zira and Scar it is at least hinted at. But there is no reason even hinted at for the change of character for Simba, other than he is trying to stop Kiara from getting in troublesome situations like he did... But that does not really quite add up for me. =/

I would give the characters of Kovu and Kiara a bit more strong personalities cause the characters changes like 5 times in the whole movie, lol,
Also, if they're gonna keep the romance stuff then they could make it... I don't know, I only say that songs like Upendi... made it too lovey dovey for a movie about lions, I don't know how to explain it, lol...

About the less Timon and Pumbaa thing, I'm fine with it, not cause i hated them but cause the way they didn't get Nala, Simba and Zazú to have as much participation in the movie, they should do the same with they.

I'm agree with that Zira and Scar's relationship to be more explained, it should be interesting to watch x)
About more Vitani i'm not sure, why would a supporting character need more time in a movie with this plot? lol

Also, I'm really agree with the points Juliette made, that'd be really nice, ^^

1. What exactly did the lionesses talk about? This can apply to either film but I wanna know.

2. Have Vitani be an antihero.

3. In a flashback, a 'civil war' between the lionesses during Scar's reign. One side being led by Sarabi/Nala and the other by Zira, of course.

4. In a flashback, Scar and Zira discussing Kovu. He is cold and distant and she is hanging onto his every word.

1-Show more Simba as a King(he was just an annoying father and though i am a fan of Simba)only 2 scene showed him as a King..i alway should remind my self that he is a king

2-It would be nice if we could see Kovu's hatred and anger about Simba and the way he was trained to become a good fighter

3-more outlander's communication...it seems that they are a bunch of wepons 3-more Zazu he was quite important in TLK but he seemed to be a cellphone or somthing in SP...i would love if ther was another Morning report

4-Kovu was too weak to become a king there wasn't even a single fight that he won ...in TLK they showed mufassa's straight and wisdom in less than 30 minents....i would add a sign of Kovu's abilities and talent that made him suitable to be a king

But SP is still my favorite and i enjoy watching that

^LMAO! Zazu a cell phone! LOL! Good one!

1. I wanna see Simba explain to Kovu why Scar was evil. I know he did but I wanted to see it in action.

Here is how I would do it:

1. Focus the movie on Simba, and him trying to live up to the image of Mufasa that he has.

2. Less Timon and Pumbaa, and when they are in the movie, have them be more than just comic relief. In The Lion King, T&P were important, and served much more than just the punch lines for a few crude jokes.

3. Make Kiara smarter, and Kovu less eager to convert over to Simba's side- i.e. make both of them more realistic.

4. Bring back some of the deleted scenes such as when Zira actually mourns Nuka's death, and have her commit suicide by allowing herself to fall instead of simply loosing her grip.

Definitely everything above. I would also make sure Nala got a little more focus, as should Vitani. Would of liked to see Zira and her kid's background, why they were exiled as stuff.

I guess I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said. But the ideas I like are:

#1. Give The Outsiders a back story.
#2. Nala needs to have more screen time.
#3. Vitani also needs more screen time.
#4. At least mention Sarabi and Sarafina.
