Seeing that Lina looked much better now, Umeme got up and moved back to Muroki. "You're doing so much for us now," she said, smiling, "thank you." She gave him a loving lick and then quickly embraced him with a hug. "I don't think that we would be able to handle this without you," she quickly looked at Lina again before returning her eyes back on Muroki, "but in all of this confusion, you know what to do, and it really helps us." She nuzzled him again, this time longer because it wasn't just to greet him. "When you came back now, I really feel like we will get through this."

Muroki couldn't help but smile when Umeme licked him and said that she doubted they'll be able to handle this whole thing without him, even though Muroki still hasn't achieved anything that might help them get Delano out. It was nice to know that she was appreciating the fact that he was trying and the fact that he was there with them. "I would never even consider leaving you to handle this on your own." he said, returning her nuzzle. "He's my brother, I can't leave him there." even if Delano wasn't his brother he would still do his best to help his new family.

Umeme smiled back. "I don't think anyone would leave him there," she said, at which her smiled dropped. "Lina really wants to see him you know," she said softly, so that Lina wouldn't hear her, "and a few times I nearly let her go, but if you would have thought it was a good idea, you would've taken her with you." She quickly glanced nervously at her sister before returning her game to Muroki. "Surely it's alright if she sees Delano? Right? There's nothing wrong with letting her go with you next time?"

Muroki wasn't surprised to hear Umeme say that Lina was eager to see Delano again. Not only he didn't think it was a good idea, but Moto also shared his opinion considering he also didn't suggest taking Lina with them this morning. "I'm not sure if that would be a good idea." he admitted, also speaking quietly. "Delano's alright. I mean, they didn't hurt him. But he hates it there... He can't stand being all alone and he asked me to not bring Lina there, he doesn't want to see her just to have her leave in the end of the day..." He hoped that Umeme would understand and that he wouldn't have to explain the same thing to Lina herself, since she probably won't take it as well as Umeme would for obvious reasons.

Umeme looked back at Lina again before nodding. "Alright, if you think it's only going to be worse, I think she will wait." She hated the thought of forcing her sister to stay away from Delano longer than she would like, but if Muroki insisted that it would be better that way, then he must have had his reasons.

She leaned against Muroki, enjoying her time with him, and they sat together like that in silence for a long time. But the content state was interrupted when Moto made his way over the horizon towards them.

Moto finally was able to return back to the den. What he found out was both unsettling and hopeful at the same time. He arrived at the den and quickly gave nuzzles and hugs to everyone there as a greeting before returning to Muroki. "I need to talk to you," he said quietly, "alone."

Lina's expression lit up when her father suddenly arrived. She was about to ask him how did it go, only got him to immediately deny the possibility of her getting an answer by walking over to Muroki and whispering something to him. As the two left, she realized that whatever Moto has found was not going to be shared with her. She hated being left out like that, since Delano meant more to her than to anyone else, maybe even more than he meant to his own brother.

Once away from Fadhili and her daughters, Muroki looked at Moto with a hopeful expression. The fact that he wanted to talk to him alone could mean that he had a crazy-sounding idea on how to get Delano free, but it could also mean he was about to say that going to the police was a waste of time and therefore didn't want Lina to be there when he said it.

Moto looked at Muroki, trying to figure out what he was going to say. He eventually figured it out and spoke. "Well, we can't get Delano out earlier than in two days," he said, "he will have to hold out in the cave for another day, and then they will be able to question him. That's the only chance we will have to free him." He saw Muroki visibly tense at this. "Look, they don't have much against him, and if it were up to me, Delano would have already gone free, but it's how they work, and we have to go along with it. If we can defend your brother properly, and I don't think it will be too hard, he will walk free. And that brings me to the next point-"

Moto looked around again to make sure that he was alone with Muroki before continuing. "You will almost certainly get angry at me, and I don't blame you, but you need to know..." He sighed, and said it. "It's my fault that Delano was arrested in the first place." Before Muroki was able to do anything, Moto continued to explain what he learned. "Before Fadhili and I came here, I was told from a friend of mine who worked with the police that he heard that the police had a traitor working against them. He didn't know what to do and asked me to relay the information. So I did just that... Muroki, listen to me: if I got him in, I can get him out. Alright?"

Muroki silently listened to Moto's plan. Defending Delano really did sound like it wasn't going to be too hard, they could always mention that Delano was the main reason for the underworld's demise or something like that. Also, Delano left the police as soon as the whole thing was over, so that could also be something they could say in order to deny the fact that he was working for anyone else, because if he wasn't in the police anymore he couldn't spy on them or anything.

He listened on, and his jaw would have probably dropped all the way down to the floor if that was even possible. Moto was responsible for Delano's arrest, how? Thinking what he had just heard over, it sounded like he did what was right and the result was the police going after Delano, but obviously Moto didn't go to them and send them to Delano in particular. Now he realized why Moto wanted to speak to him without anyone else around. "I guess it was all a misunderstanding then." he wanted to be mad at Moto but he couldn't. "And I suppose you don't Lina or anyone else to know." it was pretty obvious. Lina would probably not take a discovery like that well. "So how are we going to do this?"

Muroki slightly surprised Moto by not being angry at him. Moto had to give it to the younger lion for controlling himself well enough to do that. With that nasty business aside, Moto could concentrate on getting Delano out. "On the morning in two day's time, Delano will be taken to another cave. This one will have several lions in it. They will all question him. This will mostly not come to anything, because I doubt that Delano would be able to say anything useful in either direction." Moto frowned, thinking the process out. "I've never heard of anyone being convicted or released after this part," he commented, "but it paves the way for the real deal. The lions will go over whatever evidence they have, which remember in this case is none, and will give others, us, the opportunity to talk in favor or against conviction."

Moto wanted to say that he was certain that they would get Delano out, but he had a slight doubt. "We will provide a good defense for Delano, but he has many things stacked against him. Primarily the fact that no one knows him and that he is charged with treason." He sighed, saying what he needed to but almost couldn't because of the bitter taste it would leave in his mouth. "There is a possibility that Delano won't be freed no matter what, as a showcase to try and intimidate anyone who wants to commit real treason... I hope that's not the case, but we will have to prepare for it."

Muroki found himself frowning, "No one knows him? We know him and you know him, that's good of you're a friend of that police lion who spoke to you in the first place." he thought about it for a moment, "The lion who trained us, I met him there yesterday, maybe he can help us too? They have nothing against him." what Moto said last brought his anger up the most. "They can't do that. They can't just take an innocent lion and convict him as a showcase."
