Too many cubs, too little lions?

This is just natural lion-ing :S The male cubs would get driven off or killed before they reached adulthood which explains why they're not in the pride.

In real life, lions can have multiple mates at once. And there is usually only one male lion in a pride. So I guess TLK is just being realistic

This isn't really different, from the Rogue theory, but I've always had the opinion that just because there are only so many Lions in The Lion King does not meant that there are not more Lions in Africa.

In real life there is usually only one male lion in a pride who fathers all the cubs. Disney made it unrealistic by giving just about every cub a different father so that they aren't accused of promoting incest, which is natural for lions.

Yes there is a lot of semi-canon cubs; Malka, Chumvi, Tojo, Kula, Tama, Mheetu, Kopa, Afua, Babu and Boga. A lot!!!
I don't really think that their fathers are very relevent, cause when you think about it its their mums that really raise them :hug3:
But i do not think that either Scar or Mufasa was the dad to any of these cubs (exception of Simba, hehe obviously). Because if Mufasa was the father than there would be so many royals and yeah so Scar would've had to kill everyone so he could be king
I don't think their fathers are important, they could be anyone!!!
But there is a wide variety of choices, like Mega could be father to Babu and Boga. Ni could be father to Nala and Mheetu etc.
Interesting question though... :mhm:

I generally don't even count the TLK:6NA as canon, so... it never really mattered much to me. -shrug-

For the purpose of the question though, I'd say it's still not too big of a deal; more than likely, most of them are intended to be attributed to either Mufasa or unmentioned characters (be they rogues, or actual relatives like the cousin(?) they gave Simba in one of the books; can't recall the name of it).

[quote="Saffyminty"] Ni could be father to Nala and Mheetu etc.
Interesting question though... :mhm:

I doubt Ni could be the father of Nala and Mheetu, being that he was only a teen lion when Nala was a cub, makes him too young to be her father. That and the fact that when Nala introduced Ni to Sarafina she had never met him.

Huh, I never thought about that. In my opinoin, they could just be a bunch of rouge's cubs, that for some reason, just got accepted into the pride along with thier mothers.
I am also a big fan of: Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, musicals in general, Dr. Seuss in general and the Grinch.
