They're not being any better than the policemen that shot the kid... They're being even worse. Violence isn't the answer for this... The problem with civilization is that it raised the lifespan but lowered the average IQ of people... Which results into such vile idiocy. Out of all the people in the planet, only a few actually show intelligence, the rest are just mindless sheep that deal with the problems of the world instead of trying to solving them, which means that the problems will always be there and they'll always say "that's just the way things are". If people cared enough, they could erase all problems erasable in the planet. But alas, 'that's just the way things are'.

To be fair Kops, while people do die every day, the same can not be said about the circumstance. Yes people die every day, but they do not get killed by police officers... This guy was in his car, and had his head blown off from what I heard.

As far as it not solving anything, yeah some people would use this to criminal advantage. That guy who stole that PSP out of the bag for instance, there would be no reason for that other than just for personal gain. So to some people, the whole point is irrelevant, it is just an excuse for them to do what they do, but in plain sight.

And the riots are not ALL about the guy who got shot anyway, there is of course a lot more to it than that. Still no excuse to be a criminal about it, but it is a point nonetheless.

Criminals get shot all the time. They're criminals for god's sake!

In other countries, maybe. Not here though. I am not defending the criminal, just trying to clear up some stuff, a lot of people jump the gun when they hear / see violence...

As far as I am concerned, if you are a criminal, then you do not care about anyone but yourself, and thus I do no care about you.

The criminal shouldn't have been shot, and the reaction should not have been riots. This is what happens when people act without thinking, on both accords. Pure immaturity.

@Fip, what crime did he commit? I would be wary of that mindset you got there. Life is very complicated and a great deal of crimes are not committed selfishly. Then again, if he was like a murderer, I get where you're coming from. :3

Well to answer both your questions, Mark Duggan was a known drug dealer and wanted for other offences beside that. So no one really knows yet how far his crimes went, but he was at the very least a known drug dealer. And yeah I know some crimes even such as drug dealing is done to pay for the family and stuff like that, but it does not for me change the fact that person was a criminal.

Okay maybe he did not deserve death, but he would have spent the rest of his life in jail most likely.
So on the day he was shot, he was in the back of a taxi, police were already approaching the car, and then one of the police officers was shot (the bullet lodged itself into his radio, what are the odds?)
Which obviously made them return fire, because police guns here use different kinds of ammo, meant to wound not kill... But it hit him square in the head, and he died.

Then it was later revealed, the bullet that was fired at the police officer, upon examination was issued from a police weapon, meaning they shot him when he could quite have easily just come quietly. Hence the riots. He did however, have a weapon in his sock when he was found dead.

Let me be frank here, the london riots are just an excuse to loot, steal and kick peoples heads in. People are bored in democratic countries so they pretend like they have real problems, and start protesting about it. Oh no! A cop killed a drug dealer without filing paper work! LETS PROTEST! SCREW THE POLICE! I WANT A SOCIALIST SYSTEM!

Idiots! Just plain stupid! I'd like to throw one of those protestors in a 2nd or 3rd world country for two minutes, and lets see what they have to say to the cops. Let's also observe the time it takes for the cop to pull out a gun and put two caps in the protestors head.
