[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Simba sighed. "It was horrible, Nala. I dreamed about the Outlanders. They murdered you and the cubs, and then killed me. They took great delight in killing you in front of my eyes," he said.

Geni opened her eyes slowly and looked at Zira. She smiled weakly and whispered, "I ran away t-to an oasis. But these rogues, they..they attacked me." she coughed. The blood flowing out of her wounds wasn´t helping her gain consciousness, and with that Geni dropped her head and fainted.

Chaka stirred at his parent talking so much while he slept. He batted a paw at his father and grumbled. "Dad, shut it and sleep." he whispered.

Simba frowned. "You will show me respect, Chaka. I expect it," he stated.

The adoloscent lion noticed his father got serious and opened his eyes. "I´m sleeping...you were sleeping. I was just asking you to save the discussion for the morning." With that he turned his back on Simba and fell asleep again.

Simba sighed. "Nala, the dream was horrible," he said before laying down and trying to sleep once more.

About 2 weeks later;


The star filled sky had lines of purple and orange spread across the scenery. Vitani was sleeping soundly beside Mheetu and Dyanna, the cubs have now turned into young adolescents. She had seen Rafiki a few days past, good news came to her. Today was going to be the day she told her family. Waking up early, she got Mheetu and Dyanna up quick, only to see Simba, Nala, Shujaa and the cubs were already waking each other up. Telling them to meet her at the tip of Priderock, and already making her way up.

Soon, the entire family was waiting to hear what Vitani had to say. "Guys, I have good news." She paused, building up the tension. "Me and Mheetu," Pausing again, leaving everyone on their heels. "are expecting our own little cubs." Smiling, nuzzling Mheetu and rubbing her stomach. Mheetu was also in shock, because she hadn't told him either.

Kiara's eyes widened. Yes, new cubs! Thinking, looking around smiling and then running up to her Aunt 'Tani and Uncle 'Etu. "This is great! Me and Dyanna will have more playmates!" She said, still nuzling her Aunt and Uncle.

Simba smiled proudly. "Congratulations, 'Tani. This is great news. However, you should rest as much as possible and stay safe. That means no hunting until the cubs are born," he said.

Vitani sighed, "So I gotta be bored for the entire rest of the 7 weeks?" She asked, smirking at her brother. Who seemed to have clicked on his 'over-protective' mode, instantly.

Simba nodded. "Not bored. You can still go for walks and things like that. Just remember that I've taken Father's place as your protector and it's up to me to be sure that you're safe," he stated.

Again, Vitani sighed. "Fiiiiine! But that don't mean I won't be running!" Joking around with her brother. "Do you really think I'm going to endanger my unborn cubs?" She asked with a smile, and looked down at her slightly swelling stomach.
