Po and his friends followed Kivuli to the boat. They boarded. After the trip, they arrived in Shanghai and made their way to the palace. Soon, they found themselves in the presence of the emperor of China, a gray-furred wolf named Chon Wang. With him were his lovely wife, the red-furred, brown-eyed she-wolf Qiu and their young adult son, the white-furred, blue-eyed Yang-Di. Po and the other warriors bowed. "Greetings, your majesty. We have come to learn about this Jun Kun guy that Kivuli told us about," Po said. Chon Wang looked at the panda. "Jun Kun is a fearsome warlord who has an army. He is an ox of immense size and strength. Because of this, I have been recruiting Kung Fu warriors from all over China to help my army in dealing with him," he said.

Crane looked at the others upon hearing Jun Kun's description. "I have a bad feeling about this," he said, hoping one of the others would soon answer.

"I know you will," a female voice said from the side. Po turned to see a breathtakingly beautiful female fox standing there. "Who are you?" he asked. "I am Xiu Fen, student to Master Croc," the vixen explained. Xiu Fen then saw Tigress and went over. "Hello, Master Tigress. I've always been an admirer of yours, and it's a pleasure to meet you in person," she said.
